Haven't had a chance to check myself yet, but my GF tells me that their big datacenter expansion added ONE new server to NA/EU and ONE new server to JP, and added some capacity to the duty finder... and that was it.
Can anyone clarify for me? Is this really the case?

I'm hoping it is not just that because in Yoshi's letter last week they said they weren't going to bother with AFK kicks or queues (for now) because they were focusing on expanding their data centers this week... If their entire expansion was 2 servers... They have to pull their entire team in order to launch TWO servers???
And I still don't understand why their programming team is being pulled to launch servers... Wouldn't that be infrastructure people and not programmers/devs?
They did say they would initially be extremely restricted, and the restrictions would gradually ease over the next few days as they monitor the new server loads.
We knew it wouldn't all be magically fixed by today.
Totally unacceptable in my book. I have not been able to create the toon I have been trying to create since Early Access start (eleven days ago) because I cannot login to Behemoth (where my friends have decided to create characters). Even after the supposed datacenter maintenance, the problem still exists for me. Very very disappointed by this launch and the subsequent addressing (or lack thereof) of problems.
Try creating a character during a time that it is not busy? Especially after the servers came back up everyone is rushing to get back on.
My time is limited. These are the only times I have available to me.
Create a character on the first server available and enjoy the game.
Character Transfers are going to be coming soon and your first one will likely be free.
The servers now hold 7500-7800 concurrent logins.
For comparison, Rift servers at launch held 1800 max.
The only bigger AAA servers i can think of are EvE and SWTOR, and SWTOR has separate instances.
