Usually it means the Lobby Server is slammed. If you let it sit long enough, sometimes it will throw a 2002 (Lobby Server has ecountered an error).
Restarting the client will usually fix it (idk if the actual act of restarting the client fixes is, or a DNS flush as recommended, or just the time it takes to perform those allows the lobby server to free up some and then you can get in).
I had that dreaded 2002 error for a week. I read and tried so many things. Turned out I needed to change some router settings and voila it worked fine. I had never had to do that for a game before but doing it made it work.

What setting did you change? I think I have the same issue as you.

I posted this a couple of times, it works on and off, but worth a try.
From a command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns.
Then try again, the Start button may be available.

What setting did you change? I think I have the same issue as you.
1. if you have a virus checker shut it off
2. if you dont have a virus checker get one, what are you crazy?
