Nothing touches Under Pressure by "Queen". It has been remade by so many crappy bands that it HAS GOT to be good.
Kashmir by Led Zeppelin is an acid trip when you learn the lyrics and sing along. It is great "Driving at 2 in the morning" music.
Sunday, Bloody Sunday by U2 for the impact it had on me when I first heard it.

The one song that epitimizes new wave happens to be my favorite (or is it because it's my favorite that I think that it epitimizes new wave?) is I Ran by Flock of Seagulls. I know it's not rock, but to each their own I guess. Everytime a GTA commercial comes on I zone out like the doctor did in that one Seinfeld episode.
