Limsa Lominsa... What a Beautiful City

in Final Fantasy XIV

I absolutely love the city of Limsa Lominsa, particularly on very sunny days and at night.     

 

I haven't gotten to experience the other starter cities yet but if they're even close to as well done as Limsa Lominsa, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing them.

    I was expecting some screenshots or something. But okay, pointless thread.

    Free to play = content updates for the cash shop. Buy to play = content updates for the cash shop.
    Subscription = Actual content updates!

    I like Limsa a lot. Gridania is awesome at night. All the lanterns get glowy fuzzy.

    I found a hill to look at Limsa from afar and low and behold fog rolled in and clouded my view, pretty impressive. The other cites look great, I like Ul'dah the best. Gridania is my least favorite but it supposed to look like the forest swallowed it and it does.

    sorry, have to disagree. I love gridiania the best, it really gives off that "Shire" feel to it. I always thought i was an ocean person but i guess i'm a forest person lol.

    Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

    Limsa Lominsa is one of my favorite citys to ever be in a mmo. Beautiful and it really makes you feel like you are in a ocean harbor type city.

    While the graphics are nice, I found the city to have a terrible layout. I actually don't like the city and my opinion is based purely on logistics.

    I would have to agree with you regarding the layout / logistics.   I'm really referring to the look and feel of the city.

    Gridania is my favorite city, mainly because the layout is the least confusing to me and it feels like a town with separate buildings where in ul'da I had to cam out to realize that it actually was made up of a cluster of buildings as I was feeling like I was running around in one large structure.

    I can see that for me it's Ul'dah>Gridania>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Limsa.

    Even still Limsa feels like a maze to me.

    You haven't really been in Limsa Lominsa until you stand on the edge of the boat like Dicaprio and Winslet in Titanic :P.
