Is the character customization in Final Fantasy good?

Or are you stuck with ladyboy options for male toons? I want to make a manly toon. One with muscles and a beard.

The character customization is alright. I mean they tried I think. The give you a lot of features to 'alter' but you really on have 4 or 5 choices of what they are and most are very feminine. Games IMO need to have slider bars for customization at this stage. Its been a game breaker for me sadly since I did want to get into this. If you can't fully immerse yourself with the character you create in a game where you don't really need an alt it becomes tough to get into fully. And if you don't like typical asian styles well then its not very good at all.

The character customization is pretty standard stuff.  You get a few options but you can't drastically alter your appearance.  It's not as in-depth as something like Neverwinter but it's better than World of Warcraft.  Just keep that in mind...

BTW Your options are ladyboy or ladyboy with facial hair that doesn't look right. lol

No it's not very good, almost no body customization. Just a couple of faces too.
