Software token question

in Final Fantasy XIV

Seeing as how a bunch of people seem to be getting hacked, I'm considering downloading the software token for my phone. My only question is what happens to my FF14 account if something happens to my phone?

I've asked the same question on the SE's forum, but I thought I might get an answer faster here.

    Same any in any game or With Your bank for example, if you lose Your hardware token or Your phone.

    You have to contact Customer Service directly by phone, as you have to identify yourself and prove it is "really" you and them having to detach the Security token, so you have Access to Your account again.

    It´s the only way and standard procedure.

    They give you an emergency code , that you write down or put on note pad, and use to unlock your account and remove the token. And if that fails you just give them a call.  I use the SQEX token from them and it is very effortless and free.

    Like everyone said it's a great feature, but write that number down and store it somewhere safe.  You will have to use the app to log into your game or account each time.

     

    A little time for peace of mind is fine by me.
