Originally posted by JRRNeiklot I would like to try this game, but they apparently don't want my money, so piss on them, I'll play something else.
At least you seem to be understanding of why they put a hold on digital sales.
Damn those greedy bastards for stopping sales and making less money just to give those already playing a better gaming experience! Piss on them right???
well if you like good graphics, good music, an interesting storyline, great crafting, housing, a twist on node farming, cross class abilities, final fantasy setting, a fairly helpful community, no cash shop, and a solid dev team, id say go for it.
If you don't like load screens, trinity, long global cooldowns, raid progression, and jrpg style of game, then id say dont go for it.

Which is why I won't be playing it, regardless how well it might be made, I'm personally burned out on this model. (reading through the gear score thread really drove it home for me)
So ask yourself what you are looking for, if it's a largely different gaming experience this will not be the title you want.
But if you want a newer version of WOW based around the FF IP this is probably a great choice.
This is a very inaccurate statement. Wow's crafting is boring and FF ARR's graphics are FAR superior while still performing as well as Wow. The game will soon have housing which Wow has never implemented.
Also - the community this far has been a HUGE improvement over Wow's infantile player base. While some of the components of the game (dungeons, raids quests etc) are similar to Wow - the overall game is not.
Oh, please, do not offend wow comparing it to FF. Wow is superior in any of possible ways. But I'm sure you never played it in 1st person, you just hate wow. On the other side i have loved virtually all FF releases up to FF14 ARR. I still loved after disaster with 1.0. But this ended with disaster of ARR.
About graphics .. they are kind'a different. Environment, weather conditions are stunning in FF I agree. Invisible walls are however killer. For mobs, animals, ... well wow is far superior. Cartony and great. About FF ... if you love sheeps that looks more like that big ball to sit on with fur around, wolves that looks like giraffe with too long legs even for giraffe, ... well be my guest. Ok, it is lore but so it is wow's.
No matter what I complain I at least try to be objective.
Ff14 is a nice looking game and if your really bored of everything else out there then give it a go. Personally as far as the game goes its got tons of annoying loading screens and questing is pretty dull and unoriginal. I got to play free because of 1.0 and I won't be subbing, bar graphics this game is sub par to game like wow and rift in most aspects to be honest.
Yup, proved my point, there arent that many problems....:)
Ok bro whatever you say. I am not here to convince you or anything.
For someone not trying to convince anyone about anything you seem like you are trying a bit hard.
I bit my tongue after my "problem free comment" as some people are having log in issues ect...I should have said no major bugs.
So now "lots of problems" means "I have lots of problems with design choices"?
Probably could have avoided 30 argument posts if you had just said that in the first place and avoided coming off with some agenda.
Why don'y you explain yourself better then instead of expecting me to do it for you? if you were not being so stubborn and explained yourself instead of continue to make vague statements like 'game is problem free' there wouldn't be any need for such a lengthy discussion. And those 'design' problems you are trying to make my personal problem are actually universal problems...lack of overflow inventory, gil seller spam, bugs where people get hit by aoe or get knock down the ledge during TITAN HM due to client side lag even though they are well out of range (bug that existed for a long time now) are not just my PERSONAL problems. And these are just 3 examples out of many.
How is FFAAR as far as group play while leveling vs just solo grind fest to max lvl then dungeon/raid? I've been on the fence on trying soon as digi sales are back up. But I really like co-op based games that push a bit more towards grouping and where you see other players in the world. Not a far of the games where everyone just sorta runs solo content and especially solo instances to max lvl and then all of a sudden they appear lfg for some raid or such.
I've been burned so many times in recent years. Every game I have played in last few years have left me wanting. So many see to be a single player game for the most part until max level when people pop up to raid. Not enough different content areas for someone who likes a lot of alts, and so on.
I love EQ, EQ2, DAoC, WoW classic (not from BC on going downhill fast and now trash), and though Vanguard had tons of potential in beta until SoE came in and trashed it. My biggest enjoyment is having a steady community and doing things with friends w/o feeling that am being held up as the solo route is preferred by most and lack of group rewards.
It's just a crap versin of WoW with slower combat and fast leveling. I'd give it a bit longer before trying it as the game is currently you get d/c'd and performance issues but things are improving.
Originally posted by pinktailz i heard that some people already have few toons with max level, in a week, personally i wont play mmo with max level in a week meh
Well I have heard of people that left after few days (not counting 1st week when was nearly impossible to play for majority) of gameplay like myself. Total disappointment, never stopped any game so fast with so many free time to play left.
But I'm happy for those that find this game fun and entertraining.

Nice try though.

So to try or not to try.
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
