No EU servers free?

in Final Fantasy XIV
Just created a character.....then no servers are free to join in the EU sone :/.....Others with same problem?

    You can create a character on an EU sever, but they are extremely busy during prime time.  So you'll likely only see the option late at night.  Especially since sales have resumed and I suspect there's an other surge.

     

    There's plenty of EU players on the NA servers and free server transfers are inbound.

    Oh and EU and NA servers are in the same place.  So same latency.
