There isn't currently a newbie forum, but there are people suggesting that there be one so who knows.  Anyway, this is a fine place to say ....HI!  Man what is with the influx of new members tonight??? I'm beginning to think these are all people making new names to see if they get the kind of responses that Aquill did.   See her I"m new, I'm new thread to see what I'm talking about.

There's no real point to having a newbie forum, because there's nothing to learn here to be able to interact.  It's not a game, it's just a forum of discussion, something you've been doing for years already.
