program to monitor log file and give warnings?

I miss a ui function that we had way back in EQ1.  I forget what they called it, but we could set it up to play a sound whenever a particular text string appeared in the main chat window.  There were premade sounds, and you could also set it to do any wav file (only you hear it, of course).  So I had it setup so if someone said my name it would play my name.  That helps because sometimes in the heat of action someone might say "Shirak, dont kill the add", and I wont see it right away.  But if I hear my name then I know to read the chat.  I dont expect SE to add this function, but I was wondering if there is any trustable program out there that does this function.  With all the parsers out there monitoring logs, I have some hope that there is.
