If they want to sell this game they need to put it on a PC.
This is a typical comment by a PC user. It is however not based on fact whatsoever, pure understandable desire on your part, but not fact.
Proof that a game can sell without being on a PC? GTA5.
The arguments you use, e.g. PCs are always a higher spec are the same tired arguments used over and over and only apply to those who actually buy the higher spec hardware, and ignore the rest who would also like a word.
Typical console user, dismissive and only has one example, GTA5.
Reality is PC gaming makes way more money. You include indie titles and AAA titles and all inbetween.
Earlier today I thoroughly enjoyed a few hours in Borderlands 2 (66% off via steam this weekend for anyone interested) and an hour or two in Firefall, both on my PC. I'm quite happy on any of the platforms I own thankyouverymuch.
I tend to post when wild and eraticaly difficult to prove claims made by either camp are posted, such as the one in your last paragraph. Care to back up your "reality"?
The difference with this game compared to normal console games is that it is going to be very big in scope with more content added over time. It won't be a "finished it in a month and saw everything kind of game". Think of it like if they made Halo and all of it's sequels as one game, and that still doesn't cover it all.
Originally posted by Ozmodan This is a MMOFPS, a game that is considered a MMO, hence they expect people to keep playing. Console players just do not do that, they play for a month or two and move on to the next game. Their game population will be in the tank within 6 months. Then what are they going to do? Sure there have been decent solo console games that have sold well. My point is that after the initial purchases their money is going to die out quickly. This game is not even close to GTA standards. There is a PC version of GTA5 coming too.
I am a PC-Elitist, but to be fair, aren't many, if not most, pc gamers today the same way? I don't really think it matters which platform it's on in this regard.

Made me laugh out loud
