emulators are a violation of the TOS for using this site.
they don't allow them here either because they fear being involved in a lawsuit or they personally think they are immoral or both.

It thought it was legal licensed server.
i thought it said that as well, but either they were fact checked and shown to be wrong or inconclusive, or the mods didnt bother to read anything but the word 'emulator'.

If it's completely legal, then you might want to send a private message to one or more moderators explaining the situation. We get a lot of "come play on this illegal pirated server" threads around here, so a mod probably saw your thread, saw it as one of those, and deleted it. And if your thread genuinely was one of those pirated server threads, then that's why it was deleted.
I am under the impression that Ubisoft actually said they could run the emulator. I don't see what the problem would be then. This site should have no problems with an emulated server if the license owner has signed off on it. The moderating team here has always made mind baffling decisions like this. It's a shame there is no other mmorpg forum with this much traffic and better moderation.

yah its the automated moderation that kills things, if an actual moderator would have taken time to read my thread and follow the links to the game site, it shouldnt have been removed.
if anyone wants to play Shadowbane, pm me and ill give you step by step or just search Shadowbaneemu
Originally posted by obsolete5 i heard of this awhile back but they were still in way way early stages whats it called shadowbane reloaded something like that ?
personally im interested but i dont think it will be the same because i dont think it will ever get a userbase high enough that you will even find open world pvp over runes and stuff, maybe some decent sized siege battles or for mines, hopefully between who does play, that would be at minimum necessary

This is the most likely conclusion, if they do have permission. Shadowbane wouldn't be public domain, because Changyou licensed the property to relaunch as World of Shadowbane back in 2012.
Discussing or advertising unofficial servers or emulators for MMOs is not permitted on the MMORPG.com forums. These servers are against the Terms of Service of the original game, and violate the intellectual propriety rights of the game's publisher and developer.
If you start naming private servers you're violating this site's rules. MMORPG.com has stated in the past they aren't interested in attempting to split hairs over whether specific versions are legal or not. Private servers, emulators, whatever you try to call them are not open for discussion on this site.

It says specifically "unofficial." If Ubisoft has given these people a go ahead, it is just as official as an Ubisoft-hosted server. I'm trying to figure out from Ubisoft if the server is indeed approved, but I probably won't get a response until next week with it being the weekend.
I tried checking into the game (I played YEARS ago and since then I still have yet to find an MMO of anything close to as high calibur a game) but no luck. I just about had a ner-gasm when I read this post about the game being revamped. The website for the game is extremely user unfriendly. Does anyone have any no BS information on when this amazingly awesome game will come back on line?

they should have provided you with a email.
I got nothing from MMO
the game is run via an emulator, but its the legally liscensed version of the game, which is now public domain
I got a message from MMO and responded explaining the situation
the message I got from them seemed like a computer generated response, so maybe it just targets keywords

It's actually better (more effective) if you send it to Michael directly.
