Star Citizen LTI on ebay, does it work?

there are several 1$ auctions on Star Citizen LTI on ebay for backers who pledged after the LTI offer expired, anyone tried that out? I read RSI doesn´t really care as "they can´t control the grey market" and getting LTI will be gone forever sometime in November anyway, so is this a "legal" way to acquire the lifetime insurance on ships before the final deadline?
