Card Hunter: A nice little gem

rodingorodingo Member RarePosts: 2,870

I just came across this game yesterday and have been having fun giving it a go.

"Card Hunter is an online collectible card game which blends together card play, deck building, tactical combat and classic fantasy role-playing in a way you’ve never seen before. Grab your cards, miniatures, dice and snacks, then journey to a new world of adventure on the tabletop of your Game Master, Gary."

You basically control of a party of three characters whose equipment loadout determine the type of card deck you use with them.  Each of your characters have their own decks and you can change their decks around by equiping the characters with different weapons, armor, items,  etc.

The game has the intentional look of a table top game being played in a basement and definitely doesn't take itself to seriously though the tactical, turn-based combat can be very satisfying and well done.  It's a f2p browser based game, so definitely  worth a look since it wont even occupy space on your hard drive.

HERE is a quick video to help show what I just tried to describe.

It is a pretty fun time waster and the fact it plays in your browser is a bonus.  It's kind of a cross between a CCG, board game and D&D.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
