I'm addicted to Heartstone recently. While as a newbie I always lose in battles. last night I was defeated by a Shaman who has many good cards, can't even fell asleep...Priest is my favorite, because healing skill seems to be easier to handle and keep my heroes alive. My friend told me that's the key to win for a priest. But when I have 7 or more mana I always get only three or four cards in hand, that's embarrassing... Do you have any better suggestions for a priest? Which class you played most? Any tricks to share?
(I find this image below but I don't understand how can this player keep so many cards when he has ten mana in hand..)

There are a lot of variations on that deck but yes that is good for a newbie. I personally find the northshire cleric to be a bit of a waste because the moment it comes out your opponent will try to kill it (I know I do the same when I see my opponent use one).
The Enlightened take things Lightly
Its a decent basic deck, it won't work for long though with so many poor cards and lack of power combos.
Crocolisk is weak sauce, there are far better 2 mana 2/3 cards.
Lord of the arena is another poor card, Fen Creeper is a better taunt and cheaper.
Mind Blast is awful.
Still, this deck will work nicely until you manage to get hold of better cards.

thank u ! I'll try and see whether it works!
I like the northshire cleric because it offers chance to draw a card and has nice HP for a mana1 card. The more cards I hold in hand the safer I feel, but yes the opponent always choose to kill it first..
thank u for ur kind suggestion, I'll try to get better card asap. before that I might try this deck, hope it works!
Hate to be defeated again and again!
that might be good also in the arena (I dunno if it's in all modes or just one/few that's like that) u can use atleast 3 of the same card type and I know that mainly because when I'm bored I'm watching totalbiscuit playing it and now he might be at Blizzcon
If ur lucky in games then if I'm in that team ur luck will reverse, but if ur in a tight spot I'll most likely save u
because the harder to hit the better success I have and the easier the more I'll fail
Arena is draft, you don't get to pick a deck to play im afraid.

That's precisely why I use the cleric, it stuffs up my opponents plans and while they try and kill it I can progress my game and get momentum and board control.
If I can con them into wasting their turn and a removal spell to counter a 1 mana critter that gives me the lead.

I tried that deck and it works great! maybe I 'll go to the Arena after I get used to all classes.
Arena is completely different than constructed play. Just check out some streams on twitch to see the difference. Another deck you can try:

Arena is awesome fun and takes a while to master as its a 100% drafting system, so if your not careful you can wind up with a wretched deck.
However once you get used to it eventually you will draw that amazing deck that will get you the 9 wins and then it's just pure joy and profit

thank u!!
yes i found the differences, last night I went the Arena, but was defeated for three time and then kicked out...so sad..
I know there are quite a lot to learn before I could master it ! I'll try hard !
"so if your not careful you can wind up with a wretched deck." ----I already did .... the process of my first Arena experience was filled with hurry and worry. But I'll come back, em...when I could manage it. Now I should just stay in the Play Mode, I think.
and thank you Zinzan, for your kind and patient reply~
My pleasure

Drafting tips, these are some things I consider while drafting:
pick the hero you are most comfortable with, it's far easier to draft if you know the class already and have played it a bunch in constructed or other arena matches. If you don't know the hero you might make some poor choices.
Avoid rare combo cards unless if they trigger from hero power or cards you have already drafted.
keep a close eye on your mana curve, at about 20 cards you might need to pick cards that fit your curve more than their relative ability. A deck that stalls until turn 4 is a deck that will be frustrating to play.
take your time drafting, there is no rush, think about what you have already drafted, your hero power and how this synergies with your choice
look at card efficiency when drafting example of a great efficient card is the Chillwind Yeti, a 4/5 for 4 mana. If all three choices are awful i often go the one that gives you the best bang for your buck and/or best fits your mana curve.
Try to make a well rounded deck, too many spells especially if they are creature buffs with not enough critters is a classic mistake.
adapt as you go, often I will begin a draft with a deck idea or two i mind but as the draft goes on I change that based on what I have drafted.

actually my 1st deck in arena (when open beta have come) I'll 1st activate my webcam. 2nd have a recorder program that'll show my game and myself (actually hate to see myself) but will have my mouse arrow over one of the classes as 3rd step then I'll do this:
4th thing I'll do is to turn my laptop screen down so I can't see it and show proof of that I can't see my chaos draft deck where I'll click in the same spot to collect all 30 there
5th is to upload it on youtube just for fun and expecting to win only at most 2 wins with it (4 wins at highest because I've seen all of Totalbiscuit's games he put up so I could see some changes and hints)
If ur lucky in games then if I'm in that team ur luck will reverse, but if ur in a tight spot I'll most likely save u
because the harder to hit the better success I have and the easier the more I'll fail
I try to make sure my cleric is behind a tank. Still killable but it requires work and it is more likely I will get more than 1 proc out of it.
Only thing that i hate about priest is those matches where a hunter or warlock for example piles on minions and I don't ever see holy nova. rng ftl.
priest is a double edge sword I feel, for a while. It is great early on because if you play defensively, most new players charge right at you which is easy to counter. This moves you up quickly though and then the hell begins. A starter priest deck is pretty easy to counter. Priests can still win, but it becomes quite a bit harder. Very susceptible to RNG.
LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity.
I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already
A class which can steal/copy ... at least 8 cards from their enemies don't need suggestions really.
I try to beat them, but when a priest comes up with an 8th copy of one of my cards, I pull the plug.
No respect for players hiding behind theft
I couldn't stand them in Magic and neither do I like them in Hearthstone.
Fight like a real class not like a wondering thief.
Yes I do find it become harder and harder to win other classes in higher level with present deck, especially those with good cards. If I didn't kill their minions in time, then everything was just beyond my control. Hunters can summon a lot of minions in just one turn. Seems that Warlock often hold more spell cards in hand rather than minion cards. As for me, the toughest classes to deal with are Shaman and Paladin.
Greetings. Before I get into some advice, there are many resources that can help you out.
Hearthpwn.com This site has a great resource as it has alot of decks listed that people create. Some will give you a real understanding of how people are trending in their builds.
Managrind.com This is another great resource as Managrind is the only group out their hosting a consistent tournament for both regions every week. They also happen to show the top 4 deck list from the tournaments. This will give you a better understanding of the meta game. And if you look you will notice many of these winning decks are not loaded with epics and legendary.
There are a few others out there that have some content but those two tend to be the ones people use.
As for your problem....
Starting priest are a really horrible class to play. Many of their better abilities are epic in nature. While yes you can make a deck with out them, its effectiveness in the meta is less. Priest in general are seen as a troll class. They are highly reliant on RNG to get the right cards from their opponents to win.
However your list is very basic, but can be effective, as long as your not facing a aggro player, which is about 80% of the Meta right now.
