Looking for decent mmorpg with insane crafting

cyriciancyrician Member UncommonPosts: 189

Hi all

I might be asking the impossible here but I am looking for a mmorpg (that I havent played)"the hard part".

that has nice graphics and a really decent crafting system.

Alright sort sort the games list on the site by rating and count the first 50 games that appear cause I have tried them all( very few mainstream mmo I haven't tried).

Currently playing  Lotro , firefall, gw2, bf3, nether, d+d online , eq2 , vanguard, TSW.

Current games;
Star treck online
Rift
Eve online
Firefall

    I think Age of Conan is getting the crafting revamp soon that promises to be an in depth crafting system.

    Age of Conan is about to implement a new crafting system that looks nice. Game has some of the best graphics, endgame, and combat around.  http://www.ageofconan.com/news/game_directors_letter_october_2013 They just did a server merge so population us nice in the "Crom" server.

    Wurm or ATTD? I've been told crafting is good in both. Maybe even Horizons?

    Wurm Online is an epic game but it's not for the people without patience, it will chew you up and spit you out again but the rewards are epic. A true sandbox mmo in every sense of the word, player made missions, land conquests, FFA PVP or PVE servers, a blank slate meaning players shape the world.

    It's Brutal but oh so fun, perhaps the graphic are not your thing but don't let graphics put you off.

    You might take a look at Ryzom. A sandbox game that focuses on harvesting and crafting.

    Out of the games you listed, Wushu crafting is much better. Reason being, is that everything is player made. You wont get usable armor or weapon drops. All the professions except gathering have some sort of mini game. All enchanted items are different, aswell as the crafters. People have there "go to guys" when they need something done.

    The only current mmorpg with a more indepth system that I've played is EVE.

    @savage - On two occasion I tried to DL Wurm because of the things you've mentioned. I couldn't get it to work :( I know if a person tried they could, but yeah one of these days :)

    i wouldn't recommend Ryzom, to much running from a-.b-a-b through the questing. Instead take a look at wow's crafting(not)..

    i have heard wrung online is purely pay to win this true?

    Current games;

     You must work for Wushu...You're about the only one that ever says a word about this game.

     Wurm Online is hard for a f2p simply because of land issues and yo ucan only raise your skills to 20 iirc.....It had some neat elements but I found it a very hard game to play for very long....I logged over 20 hours and never did find a spot to build despite wandering non stop.

     You didnt play it long enough...Once you elave Silan the crafting quests end and youre free to go and do whatever you want.

    You should try Xsyon, it currently has 8 resource skills and 11 crafting skills. Some skills have more then a thousand recipes. Its based on a soft cap so its theoretically possible to max all skills even though it would take a lot of time despite the help of locks to control which skill will decay when you raise others.

    Farming and cooking should be implemented in a few months and other skills are planned.

    xsyon.com  come take a look.

    WURM, but you must buy in or you are wasting your time.  Xyson would be my second recommendation.

    Eve.

    A few have decent crafting but not so much on the graphics side(planeshift, anarchy, neocron).  Uncharted waters is a maybe(u'd have to try it for yourself).

    I'd second EvE. The graphics are rather nice in my opinion. Not amazing but the universe is a nice place to look at and explore.

    Ohh an update I guess I forgot to mention .

    I have 4 Eve online accounts ,2 are on null sec 2 are making freighters. I agree Eve online is  one of the best crafting out there, but your all mistaken it's not a game , It's a permeant ScreenSaver and always is running in the background.

    i tried Xyson ages ago 10 min loading times for the persistent terraforming was a bore.

    when I said I had played every 50 game with a good rating on the games list I wasn't joking.

    yesterday me play schedule was the following.

    Lotro  ( hit level 83 with my lore master) , firefall ( can now make teir 3 burst rifles) , Eve Online ( put 2 Orca's for manufacture ) . Ragnorok 2 ( level 13 blacksmith). Nether (  collected more ammo for my bank.

    Its ironic someone once said to me if I played just one game I'd be dangerous.

    Current games;
    Star treck online
    Rift
    Eve online
    Firefall
