I'm sure it's been brought up before, however I was wondering what everyone was thinking about this. With all these MMOs coming out on Consoles in the next year, it just seems unfair to me that console players will have to pay and additional fee to play games. Granted some of them are going free to play, but some are still subscription. Namely Final Fantasy 14 and The Elder Scrolls Online are the big 2 that stand out in my mind. It was fine to play Final Fantasy 11 on the PS2 because online play was free, but you still had a subscription for the game. Do they honestly expect players to pay the extra $50 a year to play MMOs on the PS4?
I know that there's more than just online access for the $50 a year, I've been a PS+ member on PS3 for a long time. You get free games and really good discount on popular titles as well. So I guess you could say that this is what the $50 is for, and the subscription for the game is seperate, but I believe if they really wanted MMOs to transfer over to consoles, they should include the subscription into PS+
