Episode 29 How to figure things out for yourself
Now someone told me in comments. That I was not clear on how I figure out things in Blade and Soul. Pretty much this video I explain how. A lot has to do with the excellent English patch Loki Reborn made. But even without it the game helps you.
In most items tool tips, the game will point you in the right direction. So if it's a upgradeable item, you will have a nice hint for it. I use that hint and basically look on the map. Then find the matching symbols in chinese and head to that area. Or in the case It's still not clear. I'll Google search the area and exact item.
All of this has never failed me all the way to max level. Now that I'm doing it again on the Light side. It's even easier this time around. So I hope all of this helps you out.

I know no one expected this. But here it is my newest series. Blade and Soul Chinese open beta. I'll roll with this as long as I can. I have plenty of ways to figure out what to do. And I already know pretty much how to play. 1080p for all the BNS fans.

Sounds like you didn't have the chinese language pack installed on your windows.
I would love to play this game no matter what language it is in. However it would appear that it is not compatible with Win 8.1 which sucks.
Any time this changes I will be downloading it and joining in
It's asking your real name, social security number and address, ofcourse it will only accept chinese ones.
Lucky for me my GF is chinese and she will set it up for me after work, but sucks for those who has no access to those

The weapon enhancement is probably the most ridiculous system to be ever put into any video game EVER.
It is pure unadulterated grind for the sake of mind numbing grind.
Dont believe me? Heres how weapons work in Blade and Soul:
1. Kill Final Boss Get Box
2. Use Normal Key until I get my weapon.
3. Failed to get weapon? Back to Step 1
4. If I got my weapon, identified it, wrong stats? Back to Step 1
5. Finally got my Level 1 Axe from the box.
6. Now I need to level it up to Level 5 with capped exp.
7. Now that's it is capped, I must level up the weapon it tells me to.
8. It says I have to level up a PvP Weapon to level 10.
9. Now I have to farm that weapon by killing a boss and opening boxes again until it drops my Axe (Repeat 1 and 2)
10. Finally got the Axe PvP Weapon.
11. I have to level it up to level 5 with capped exp.
12. I must "limit break" this weapon with another weapon but thankfully it's only up to level 5.
13. So I Level up my 3rd weapon to Level 5.
14. I limit break my PvP weapon with that Level 5 weapon + paying a very expensive fee and materials.
15. Yes, now I can level up my PvP weapon to 10!!!
16. Now I have to level it up by spending more gold to 10.
17. After getting my PvP weapon to 10, I can finally feed it to my end game dungeon axe.
18. I pay the expensive feed again + my PvP weapon + materials again to my Level 5 end game weapon.
19. Then I can finally level my end game weapon up to 10.
20. Yay, I did it. Now to repeat the same process with new accessories. T_T
21. Optional, if you repeat the same steps 1>19 with a different weapon you can fusion perform a fusion limit break which makes it a step closer to legendary.
22. What's the catch? You will need to level up all those weapons shown in the image above. Godspeed.

the latency on the chinese servers made me stop playing. It is unbearable to click attack and wait more than 5 seconds to see the attack and then 30 seconds after moving on it rubberbands all the way back.
EDIT: @Xiaoki, that is horrible. Thank goodness i wont ever need to do that.
My ping isn't my issue. I get lag from high speed movements in the game. Causes issues traveling that's it. Make sure you get onto a NA dedicated server.

The equipment feeding system is amazing and it brings game long-term content which seems to lacking in so many western games.
I much rather take a long process to create my legendary equipment than run a "raid" once a week hoping for a drop, then waiting a week (playing something else) to try this again.
It's a lot more interesting to put your equipment together bit by bit instead of trying once a week to achieve something and then waiting for the rest of the week.
Blade and Soul is doing so many things right it's unbelievable awesome.

Yea it is really a great game. People complain that the chinese censored it a bit. But whatever I like it either way.
