If you're looking for an MMORPG where crafting and social interaction with the others can shape the fate of the game, then this is the game for you.
Features:
The game is similar to Haven and Hearth, based on crafting a homestead and developing your character while surviving as much as you can. There aren't any goals, it's up to you to set your goals and survive the wilderness.
The map is in an open world style with a starting safe town called Boston for shopping or chatting with other players.
Leveling System
The game features two types of leveling:
Proficiencies (Your Job): These are stats which define what skills you can get. Each skill unlocks certain crafting recipes, actions, or fighting maneuvers you can use. There is no cap on how much you can level them.
Growing them requires studying specific items found in the wild or crafted by the player.
Humors (Your main stats): 3 bars which define your energy (or stamina) to do certain activities, such as how much time you can run, or how fast you can level your proficiencies or how much damage you deal. Like proficiencies, there is no cap to them. There is one additional bar that represents your HP.
Growing them requires eating food in the "Gluttony Mode", each food leveling a specific or a multitude of these stats.
Combat
The combat is action based, where positioning and moving your character define if you hit your opponent or dodge the enemy attack.
PvE Aspect
You can hunt rabbits, crickets, deers and bears. The edge of the world holds a special darkness biome that adds two additional hard enemies.
PVP Aspect
The pvp is Player Kill (PK) based with a permadeath feature. The game encourages people to live in groups or communities for safeness, however it's your choice how you wanna spend your time playing.
Penalties
- Getting Knocked-Out: this can be caused by animals in the wild or players. Upon getting knocked out, you lose all the items from your inventory, yet not your equipment.
WARNING: Getting knocked out near a player that has the "Thief" skill can determine him/her to steal your stuff (even the equipped ones).
- Getting Killed : can only be caused by advanced players that invest in the Thief type of skills. You can inherit your old location as yours with a new character that you create after the death of your old one.

Wasnt this game abandoned?
I seem to remember something regarding this.... I wanted to play but for some reason the client would not work for me. I posted on their forum and found many others with my issue (I cannot remember exactly what it was) but it was never fixed and I gave up on even trying the beta.
If this was not abandoned and is now in release state I might give it a try again.
To be fair, it is in a dying state because of the lack of players, yet it can be prevented.
It's in the open beta stages. As for the client i suggest the ender client or other custom ones.
@cronius
Playing alone gives this big disadvantage on grinding your stats. However playing with a group of players or a community can speed up the process by a lot.
Pay to win? I'd say Grind to win. The more you grind your stats, the better you become as a player. This is proven by the "MM Tribe" of the game.
Send bears in boston? That was in the old days. Also bear spawns are extremely rare unless you live in autumn biomes. And running with a bear behind you costs a lot of black bile.
I'd say the game is mediocre with a big lack of playerbase.
Remember: it's free to play unlike other crafting mmos...it's hard to compete with those in terms of graphics and content.
