In our latest WildStar column, we take a look at the fun and excitement that PvP in all its flavors will bring to the game. Check out our thoughts before leaving your own in the comments.
This week, Carbine took the lid off their remaining two classes. The Medic and Engineer join the existing four classes, with further livestreams and videos planned to show us just what these newcomers are capable of. But out of the six choices available, which one is best? There’s only one way to find out: FIGHT!
And fight they shall. If Nexus is a planet filled with psychopathic murderers, then they’ll need somewhere to carry out their carnage. Luckily, Carbine’s had long-held plans to provide players with places to PvP, from the great outdoors to fortress-sized warplots. If you prefer improving your arena rating instead of completing a quest chain, WildStar has you covered.

Engineer is for me. I picture the only class better than my bonedancer from way back in DAoC...A Bonedancer with Robots
And I love how early you can start PvP, even though I usually like PvE more.
On PvE server don't turn on your PvP flag and you are good to go.
Glad to see a game incorporating old-school style open world PvP. Based on the changes and improvements being made to this game, I'm really excited to see the finished product! Reminds me of vanilla WoW meets SWG.
No bitchers.
nah , the warrior and rogue will be.....like always

yeah but thats low end bracket where everyone is trying out their toon... 90% of my friends i gw2 only have level 2 toons because all they do is tpvp... I find it be a crash course into learning a game and you may really stink at first but you tend to learn your toon faster so you are relevant in the matches....
No I'm saying the author has got his facts wrong and the first BG you can enter is at level 6 and not level 3.

Kind of dissappointed with the lack of open world pvp. And it seems that they are making up an excuse (forgivable with an MMO with so much content at release it seems), but how can they wait to see the popular areas on a server, when it will vary server to server, region to region.
People will go to certain areas that are interesting, which is completely subjective, but maybe more clear cut if the area offers fun open world, then its kind of obvious where ppl will go. And if is obvious, using intuition/feedback/common sense, they will know the most likely popular areas without looking at statistics for the whole server and add incentives to bring ppl to that area so that it will for sure become popular.
I think the problem is, they can not have more than 1 or a very few open world spaces, but I believe if they design it accordingly they can have multiple open world locations and try to reward players with their participation by translating the factions score into another system. I think in such circumstances 3 factions is useful. Or it could be balanced with NPC's, nonetheless.
Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble
Yup agree no idea why they not putting in objective based PvP, because that's where PvP players will be, build it and they will come!!
One major issue is the feedback from pvp still mostly don't feel like I'm hitting anything.
No satisfaction in a kill does not feel like I killed him/her/it

And what about the Spellslinger, which is one of the most popular class, they have guns, sci-fi guns!!! Doesn't get more sci-fi-ish than that.
Get a life you freaking Gamer.....no no, you don't understand, I'm a Gamer, I have many lives!!
lol at myself i guess i misunderstood your statment, but I am glad you clarified, was a bit confusing.. and thanks for the correct information
Last time I checked, the public information available stated that it was at level 3: http://wildstar-central.com/index.php?wiki/player-vs-player/
That was confirmed in the CBT2 and CBT3 patch notes we also saw. I don't know if it's changed in CBT4, but the information I found didn't mention it anywhere. Do you have a source for the information?
Currently playing: WildStar, Guild Wars 2, EVE Online, Vain Glory.
Love the pvp setup in this game. I've been watching it since it started dev. and it STILL looks amazing. Everything is in my taste and fast paced.
