Is crafting worth it?

sharpshadesharpshade Member UncommonPosts: 58

So I'm a level 22 Fire/Life wizard and I'm completely addicted to this game lol! I will admit I'm 35 but hey, I like what I like and I can't help it haha!

Anyways, I haven't dabbled in crafting at all because I don't know if it's worth it or not. I don't use crowns, unless it's reeeeeaaally something I want, so I use my in game gold for most everything I have and if crafting is real expensive than that is a deal breaker for me. I just don't want to waste my time with it if I can get equal or better from the bazaar or from bosses. Also, the fact that we can't abandon or delete quests from our book once we take them has me hesitant to begin to crafting quests.

Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! =)

it is worth it as you can convert up reagents through crafting using a method called "transmuting" them and selling some of the rarer reagents at the bazar if you want to make a lot of gold per item!

Ah crafting! Fathom this. I have a storm wizard that was beginner crafter. She needed a house. I been playing Wizard101 since 2008. Some of my in game friends crafted the Watchtower Hall from the craft guy in Grizzleheim. I love the house but i thought i could never craft it as it took my friends like 2 months or so. Every now n then i would go look at the house and what it took to craft it. I would dream for 3 yrs. Lol. Finally last fall i said ok Ima do it. I took my storm wiz from beginner crafter all the way to grandmaster crafter and took 2 other wizards crafting non stop until i had all the stuff done. I crafted that house from scratch in 3 days!! I was frazzle dazzled at the end but it was worth every minute of the challenge! I consider myself pretty hardcore now. I am a Wisened Wizard as well. This game is my happiness, my joy, its what i have to look forward to everyday as i grow old. :D.
