I'm a still-displaced City of Heroes player who has been bouncing from game to game for a while. One thing I really liked about CoH was the crowd control and support powers. The Controller was my favorite archetype. It felt so useful. I could put enemies to sleep, paralyze them, confuse them, terrify them, lift them in the air, snare them, make them fall over, and whatever other fun things I'm forgetting. And that doesn't even get into all the buff/debuff/healing/etc powers.
Are there any games where crowd control is as varied and/or useful? The most I've found in other games is usually limited to some single-target sleep that someone on your team usually smacks and wakes up in within a couple seconds anyway. Turning a swarm of enemies into a pile of useless, falling, bafoons was just so satisfying!
