Did something change at youtube?
Several sites that have embeeded youtube videos on their page are not working. Here is the latest one:

They all say unable to connect. If youtube is really getting this bad, I hope a viable alternative surfaces.

Lots of things have been happening with Youtube. I myself am not a fan of their change in the commenting system ever since they integrated the whole Google+ stuff into it. For me it makes commenting harder and I always run into bugs and other annoying things which screw around a bit with anything I want to respond to or provide meaningful and sometimes meaningless insight into.
I have noticed a lot of videos being taken down lately as well due to the enforcement of copyright infractions, even though some of these enforcements have been over the top in my opinion. Other than these two points I haven't noticed much more going on but I haven't been on Youtube much as the bugs and glitches I've run into really put me off using the site for a while.
There was something in the news just a few days ago about this. It had to do with youtube cracking down on copyrighted game trailers (of all things). Scroll down a ways. There were posts here about it.
Still, I wonder when the party is going to end on youtube. I watch all kinds of content there that I know is copyrighted. And I also know that the technology currently exists to stop it from ever being posted in the first place. It's like youtube is the biggest pirate site on the web, I'm sure google is actively complicit in all this, but I know it simply can't last forever.
