1) I want some interesting mechanics that I haven't played before in many other games.
2) I want the game to be polished.
3) I want it to be a game that I can play however much I want (potentially little) when I feel like it without having to schedule my life around it.
And that's it, really. If all we ever had was one particular combination of game mechanics, I'd get sick of it.
