Ok, I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having a real hard time talking to anyone in this game.  I walk around and occasionally see someone and attempt to chat, and I end up getting responses like, 'what?' and 'what do you want?' as if no one could spare any time to talk.  I thought that the community was really good, but no one seems to socialize.  I'm on Linenoise, so I'm thinking are people really quiet because it's the unofficial RP server?  I didn't choose the server on purpose, just by chance.  Are there any friendly people in this game?  Or is it really, really non-newbie friendly?

what are you asking them? I have never had a problem ever, people are always nice. Are they Role-playing? If they are yeah, they might be rude or something to be there character. Sometimes though people get a little weirded out if you run up to them and start saying stuff. I know in DAOC its like that alot in some places. Alot of time they are trying to avoid beggers and such, but most people I have met are cool. Sometimes you just need to go to hardlines and duel some peeps to get them to talk . Join a clan/gang if you feel alone, I did because its a big city and sometimes it nice to know where people are gathering. Oh, and if you hang around event horizens (thats what we call "tagged" spots where events are going to play out) then you will meet people who are cool to talk too. I hope that helps.

At the loading area, click the hardlines and choose mara central. problem solved.
