How does EXP work?

Been looking around to find out how the exp system works but all i keep find is leveling guides. Basically i want to know how high of a monster can you kill and still get exp and also how low can you kill and still get exp. Also, what are the bonuses for killing monsters higher, same, and lower level than you?

Honestly have no idea but it also depends on the type of content. How much you assisted in the killing of said monster and what not. I would imagine the range is something like 5-10 levels below you offer no experience. Not sure why you wouldn't get exp for killing something higher than you if you somehow manage to solo it (I'm talking way higher something +3-4 levels is pretty easily done).
For dungeons, fates, and guildhests your level is synced.
The more important things are like chains, fates, leves and dungeons. Just grinding mobs would be a slow and boring process.
