No more actual Horse mount and I MUST pick a class?

Two questions, I can't seem to find the actual horse mount, I see pigs and bears and the other one, but I don't see the horse, was the horse taken out for Darkfall UW ?

 

Second, It seems that I am now forced to pick a class, I thought the new class system was an add on not a replacement of the previous classless system, am I wrong?

 

Just bought UW yesterday, I have only played the original Darkfall awhile back.

you have to pick a class, but you can switch between classes any time you want.

I saw that, but last night my son wanted to use medium armor and be a caster (what he did in DF1) but seemed to be restricted from that by the classes. Thus the reason for the thread, was looking for solid clarification on it. Didn't want to keep trying to figure out how he could do it if he couldn't.

Assuming you have gear for that specific class and you'll also need to grind a new set of skills.

it wasnt a 100% serious comment but...much like in real life, asking questions that forces someone to give an answer he'd rather not give will make him dislike the conversation and by extrapolation...you.

 

at its core, it can be over-simplified like so: "Is it true your game sucks ?".
