An "Elric" character from the Elric of Melnibone novels. He's a basically a weakling who needs potions to sustain himself until he gets his sword Stormbringer which allows him to drain his enemies to give himself temporary strength.
I might have not know what an RPG was, if it wasn't for this guy.

Elric of Melnibone is my favorite fantasy character. I've read the series several times and even have a "skyrim" Elric like character (there is a stormbringer sword mod though it's a bit overpowered so I had to adjust it).

Malus Darkblade, while slightly derivative, isn't bad either
One is going to be a Thane from DAOC. I'll probably start him as a sorceror and go into the storm calling line. He's use heavy armor and a two handed mace/hammer. Everything he does will revolve around lightning. It should be really fun to play.
Second character will be a Cleric, D&D style. He will be offensive though. He will likely dual wield maces. I want as many self buffs as possible to make him more powerful in combat. Heavy armor as well. He'll have some healing spells, but they will likely not be very powerful and mostly self heals.
Third character will likely be a necromancer, assuming this is possible. I'm not sure if there is any sort of necromancer line yet in the game. Light armor most likely Lots of curses and blood magic.
I know some of these are possible, I just don't know if all of the skills associated with these characters will be in the game. I may have to compromise in some areas.

Probably one of the most requested thing that isn't in. My guess is that something along those lines might come in when they bring the Dark Brotherhood into the game... just a hunch.

I'm so confused. I love it. What/who do you plan to build?
There HAS to be some type of Skill Respec sooner or later. And No I'm not talking about choosing a different Class, just about reallocating your skill points. And the reason is that they won't be able to retain subscribers as well if they don't. And, Long Term, people need to be able to compensate for their attempts to balance the different classes at the very least. So while it won't be in the game upon release its going to happen. And its a standard feature for every other MMORPG currently on the market.

It won't really be needed. Eventually you'll be able to attain enough skill points, to learn it all.

There was a developer Q&A that mentioned a shrine that could reset skill points. No idea if it is in game or something even confirmed for release.

Oh, interesting. I haven't heard that. It would be cool enough as an extra thing I guess, though not necessary I think. The only thing I have seen is that you'll be able to earn enough points to pretty much learn all of it ^^

Really? There must be some methods of gaining points that I haven't heard about then, because the ones I have heard about don't add up to anywhere near enough to invest in every possible skill, especially considering that vampires and werewolves probably get at least one skill line each, the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves' Guild still haven't been added, and they will probably continue to add more skill lines as the game evolves.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.

Yeah. Don't take it for absolute truth of course. I'm just saying what I've read of course. I got curious from this thread and googled it, and found http://elderscrollsonline.info/skills
It's mentioned on several other sites as well. I hope it's true at least! :-)

Hah! So it seems. Thanks for the link :-) That's cool, offers even more freedom then, instead of waiting for having accumulated enough points to get what you want.

I might have not know what an RPG was, if it wasn't for this guy.
I started mmo's with a mage and thought I'd always play a mage but my elder scrolls games usually had me wielding a two handed sword.
However, I'm starting to like my sword and shield skyrim "paladin" so that has become interesting.
Additionally, ESO having a strong pvp element, some sort of ranged attack is important.
So I will either go Dragon knight, heavy armor sword and shield or Templar sword and shield and bow. Can't discuss any more yet.

Of course, Moorcock is another level

You can discuss what they have released on youtube! Character Progression
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
It appears it will be in there...
