Ok, so as a few of you may or may not know, I've been one of those indecisive guys who was not sure about what MMO I wanted to commit to. I mean, this is money per month here, so I have to commit to something.
Well, after many discussions and a few trials, I was still uncertain as to what I'd want to play. I like all the games I wanted to decide between, but I knew I only wanted one to devote time and money to, and not scatter my attention all over the place. So, what I wanted to do was a coin flip.
However, instead of a simple coin toss to determine what I should do, I decided to elaborate on the idea of chance, so that all the MMO choices could compete with. And when I say compete, I mean literally.
By chance, the idea struck me that I would have each of the MMOs in question battle it out. So, I loaded up Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Gamecube, and set up the duel to the death between each MMO. This creative way of determining my game of choice was not only a good way to toss a coin, but very exciting to watch. Needless to say, Final Fantasy XI beat out all the other opponents. WoW lost in the first round. The final match between SWG and FFXI was pretty intense, as my girlfriend really wanted to see SWG more than FFXI.
So, if you ever decided you need to make a decision between a few things that you really like, I suggest the Melee method. One will find that making a random choice is a lot more fun than flipping a coin.

i have a 30 inch widescreen tube hdtv and a supervideo output on my puter so i used that as a display/game monitor since txt is hard to read.
Recently i bought a 30 inch LCD flat panel hdtv it has a monitor input
So here i am posting on a message board on dual 30inch monitors... not playing games... not doing anything worthwhile.... just here on this board... with lifelike video and sound...
i need a life

Yeah, good method. I used the Emperor Battle for Dune method for something myself once.
It can easily be argued that subconsciously you already chose FFXI and simply maneuvered the game toward that conclusion.
Yeh i mean fighting three one-legged pikichus against Boswer ain't really fair now is it?
Seems like a nice idea... I wouldnt choose FFXI even if it won though.
