Their pr strategy

Brad posted to IGN and there's just so many haters in those places. They were absolutely brutal to him. Seeing that isn't going to make anyone want to pledge.

Instead of that I think they should keep doing the interviews, updates, whatever, and plunk the entire team down on the kickstarter comments page all day. People who learn about the kickstarter will come to the site, see the dev team being active, see people interacting and asking questions and want to be a part of that. It will become known that they are there day after day and grow, which is what we need desperately at this point, something to grow. It will be 5000 times more positive discussion of the game than i see on these sites he goes to. Best of all you can't join in unless you pledge money. The comments section is glacial at this point when it should be going by so fast you can barely keep up with it.

You can thank me later

Hah ya funny comment on IGN: "Wait are you saying this guy I responded to is either Brad McQuaid or a Fan Boy of his?"

It's a travesty that younger gamers haven't had a challenging game, ala Dark Souls, in the MMO space in so long.

If you have any hope of a non-solo on-rails race to end game MMO coming out *cough* TESO, then you should pitch in..

I think Brad knew he had an uphill battle going into this over the Sigil stories, but he's been doing a great job.

Part of the issues with IGN is Brad is making a game for a mature audience.  My experiences at those boards would not be labeled as mature.

The people who want to dig up the past and dwell on Brad's failures never enjoyed EQ1 in my opinion. Those of us who have, know exactly the genius design he is capable of creating. Vanguard wasn't all his fault, and the core concepts of the game were very well in line with EQ1.

The people who will hate on Brad are the people who will not back this game out of sheer spite for him. However, those of us who realize he is a human being with a very creative brain and a history of making my STILL favorite game of all time (Classic EQ) will support him through and through.

I can't wait to see what becomes of this game without a huge studio telling him what to do. I hope it can be done through crowd funding.

You are right, however I think the pledge average shows that you would not be the norm in that result. I think there is absolutely valid logic in people pledging so that they can get to talk with Brad and the rest of the team every day throughout the kickstarter. Or at the very least it being a contributing factor.  Brad has had significantly more discussion on other sites where you can talk to him for free, than his own kickstarter. Brad is the bait here and he needs to start using himself as that.

    Hey Guys,

One of the DEVs form Pantheon.  We want to thank all you guys for your support.  I am one of the artist from the original EQ team and Brad game me a chance on a project while still in college which lead to my career at SOE.  I have known Brad for a long time and have had mixed feelings throughout the years and did not join him at Sigil.  Having both of us grown and now working more directly with him now I can say he is passionate about bringing you the game that you guys want.   I have worked on many zone in EQ and EQ2 with my experience I hope to be able to make decisions to help deliver compelling environments with limited resources on time running efficiently.  Thanks again for your support.

Didn't know about Brad's history till a friend recapped it for me. Karma is a b***h, should have thought about his future when he was acting like he did. No sympathy here.
