I dont know why this topic irks so many people...In many ways, its worse than religion or politics......I guess it doesnt bother me because I play both.....
Of course i respond. Discussion here is fun. I don't have to like traditional MMOs to have fun discussing them, do i?
Which people would conclude is "spamming/trolling". The WoW devs would've banned you years ago over these threads! lol
Wait .. i have to blindly like all traditional MMOs out there to be considered not trolling?
Then i guess everyone who like WOW but not EQ or UO is trolling. Everyone who like GW2 and not Eve is trolling.
Welcome to the Wild Wild West World of Warcraft. Where trolling is considered constructive criticism, and legit complaints/suggestions is "spamming/trolling"...because the devs only think they know how a game is made, so will troll to influence the "discussion" as "necessary".
Forums are the way they are because the devs allow it to be. So when you waltz over to the WoW forums and see that mess, it's allowed because IT'S CONTROLLED BY THE DEVS. As they have the power to keep it open, or shut it down.
So what you're doing will get you a permanent ban over there, because it interferes with influence peddling.
Lucky me to hang out here, instead of WOW forums. I don't play that game anymore, and i doubt talking about just one game over there is as much fun as talking about many games here.
It isn't and why I didn't contest my ban, their loss another site's gain! lol
Same can be said for Gamebreaker.tv with their Blizzard-can-do-no-wrong trolls.
Same can be said for MMO-Champion after seeing their staff try to beat Blizzard at Facebook trolling itself.
Neutral sites you can talk about gaming itself, the trends, the designs and not have to post in clearly defined lines to promote A game. Besides, it's boring as hell talking about one game for years and cheerleading it. My philosophy about games is, if it's good it'll stand the test of time, but putting lipstick on a pig doesn't hide it's still a pig.

And don't forget the flames, and disagreements, and the rant. It is simply no fun just cheerleading on a single game. Humans strive on conflict and drama, as demonstrated everyday here.

Did you mean "thrive". If so, that would certainly appear to be the case

New Data Suggests that McDonald's makes a poop ton more money than a nice, select, restaurant. So...
