Guide on how to play Blade & Soul in the EU and US
All legal and many people doing it right now, be sure to take part in playing this game! It's in the Open Beta.
You will see TERA as BnS' little sister...
Yes it is all in Chinese but there is an EN Patcher, giving you English directions through out the main menu and options windows.
This is all provided by http://www.bladeandsouldojo.com who did an outstanding job on giving us this information and assistance.
1st go to QQ - http://zc.qq.com/en/index.html and register an Account. You need this account to login.
2nd do so and verify this account following this guide - http://www.aspenachgaming.com/#!account-registration/c1osk be sure to also do the step with changing system locale otherwise you might get errors
3rd download the client - http://bns.qq.com/web201307/download.shtml#d_anchor just click the upper left box. Slightly below you see a list of patches that can or lateron have to be applied manually. For me it was the case that the client lateron didn't update the game version to up2date and I got the famous "100" error in the main menu, ingame. So if you might get that one, it's a clear indicator that your game version is not uptodate.
4th when you have downloaded the game, install it and just in case do not change the directory. I had to reinstall it once and this might be the case why it wasn't udpated properly but I cant give a guarantee on this one.
5th run the client and let it update. Exit the client.
6th download the EN Patcher here - http://www.bladeandsouldojo.com/topic/16870-english-patch-for-china/
7th to install the EN Patcher properly without getting an XML error you have to download - https://mega.co.nz/#!tckXWCIA!Pb-UASlDle_oFdu4sO6nigqWnqwiiDwaqOxzSdZp7qI and save it without opening it into your Blade&Soul main folder under TCLS/patchs.
8th run the EN Patcher. You might have to click it twice to work. No idea why I just had to.
9th run the client again, choose a server (click one of those 4 girl pictures you see in the middle of the client) and enter your login detail. The QQ Number you enter on top and your password below. Both of these you get by going to - http://jkyx.qq.com/ like you did in the beginning, click the blue button on the top left, enter your email and password, login and then you see your QQ number right next to the pinguin or ontop in the middle of the screen.
Aaaaand enjoy the game!

I've had my BNS account a for a bit now. The problem isn't really the creation or installation. The problem comes down to ping. At around 200ms the game plays fine. At about 250ish ms it can be a little annoying to play. 300ms or more is pretty unplayable. The server you pick might be good one day and awful the next. Alot of guides are available on blade and soul dojo though.

Indeed. One can even be found through the company hosting BNS in China. Unfortunately I live on east coast. So as remsleep pointed out below. I'm not going to have alot of luck with them. Good luck to rest of you though. Even if you hover around 250 to 300ms ping I highly recommend playing the game. The english patch helps to. There are also plenty of youtube video's explaining things. (Like where to find the item you need for Water Running skill quest)
It's a shame that it starting to look like no release for EU/NA is going to happen.

I didn't. I whipped out my license and just typed that in. The number just has to be long enough for the field.

The patcher seems a bit throttled, about halfway done, will leave it on overnight and let you know tomorrow. Account setup seemed to work fine though.
I don't have a passport and it wont take my ID. GRRR
Edit: I got it working. I started a party at around level 5 and talked with a couple Chinese players. I figured out the voice chat and we bantered back and forth a good 10 minutes and I have no clue what they were saying, and they probably have no clue what I was saying either. Fun times!
This is false. I set up everything as described in OP, and I am now playing the game on the actual Chinese Server.
No passport, phone number, or ID number was asked for at all
Hi to all. I've downloaded game. I installed game (without error messages) but whrn i launch game, it makes upgrade only till 10%... after an error message (in chinese) but upgrade doesn't continue... what's wrong? can someone help me plz?

Giving out passport number is common practice for booking travel, but not sure I would be comfortable giving it to some 3rd party in china.
Just asking for forged passport and ID theft.
God forbid a terrorist travels into the country on a passport in your name.
Just conjure up some random numbers. Duh....I never put in my actual details unless I really trust the site/game/etc...
I did everything as i should, got to installation, ran with no errors. When i want to start the Lanucher it keeps showing me error and hitting the button points me here: http://gamesafe.qq.com/safe_repair.shtml
