There has been so many, but in my opinion nothing comes even close to Dark & Light, by far the worst MMO ever.
There are lots of big titles that just didn't appeal to me, but I acknowledge them for being great games for other people, so I won't bother mentioning them.
Well, actually, it has only confirmed what I already knew... only a very few people here are worth reading because they have a balanced and rather unbiased opinion and are able to give positive points even to a game they do not like because it's well made. Those people are also visible in this thread, makes it easy to enhance your forum friend list.
So if someone dislikes WoW and says it's a bad game from their point of view they have to be biased?
I wouldn't say they're biased or even wrong. They're just blissfully ignorant of what a truly awful MMO is.
No,wrong. the title is worst MMO you ever played, meaning the people that post. Whatever it is it is. Some people aren't the sheep that mess up the industry and buy every piece of crap that comes out and stay loyal to one and maybe trial one or two.So get off your high horse.
Edited to remove swear words,i am learning but still don't give a %$" if I get banned.one day i will print a screenshot of my warnings and bans.
Take a breath there neckbeard.
Like I said, they're not wrong or biased. They're just ignorant. I don't mean ignorant in any offensive manner. I simply mean that they haven't actually experienced a really awful MMO. So when someone says WoW is the worst MMO they've played I simply think that they're very fortunate.
Worst MMO I ever played has to be EVE and City of Heroes. Couldn't get into the slow paced gameplay of EVE and could never get into super hero mmos.
I was most disapointed in Age of Conan and Aion. Just my 2 cents.
Yes, Eve is also on the top of my "Worst" lists. The only thing it had going for it was that you at least got a finished game for your money... albeit a slow, watching-paint-peel experience.
Eve gets exciting if you join a very big 'elite' alliance and get very involved.
This takes a huge amount of time, however. Most people don't have this quantity of spare time over such a long period of time.
If you do this, you will get an awful lot of ISK. A lot of ISK gives you more exciting playstyle options.

I *would* say they're biased - even as I am one of them myself. But I wouldn't say they're wrong, or necessarily even ignorant. They're simply judging according to a different (more subjective) criteria.
Also, as a sidenote: I'd also say it's fine to rule out blatantly unplayable games from consideration because (as I noted in my previous post here) the OP specifically asked about the worst MMO you ever *played.* If it's unplayable, you didn't really play it :P
I'm fairly sure most people in this thread are listing their personal grudges rather than an objectively really bad MMO. There would be a lot less infighting if people could agree on being objective rather than subjective in this topic.
b)Vanguard right after launch (it's a very good game now though)
I think that if there hadn't had been the lawsuit as to who owned the world building tech this game would of had a chance and perhaps they could have fixed the myriad of bugs. As it was "settlers of ganereth" was pretty unpolished. The world was HUGE and would take a long time to fly from one side to the next. The crafting was pretty good too, but nothing compared to my dragon! The stupid forums are still up too believe it or not! This was one game I was looking forward too. I read some where that Snail Games from China bought the IP and it has been developed but changed a lot...I forget what they renamed it....I could be mistaken though.
Rose colored glasses much?
Apart from flying on a dragon, the whole thing was a fiasco: from the buggy... well everything, to the scam of releasing a "pre-game", D&L was more a scam and less a MMO. Runner up for me would be Mortal Online.

there is no such thing as an "objectively really bad" MMO. Good or bad is subjective.
For example, i like LFD in a game, and many don't. It is objective whether a game has LFD. It is subjective whether it is good or bad.

Probably EQ2 , it was a great disappointment at the time and I only played for a week , I then moved to WOW and played that for 3 years non stop .
