feminism: the surprising idea that women are people too.
It seems to me that feminism tends to embody the idea that women are victims.
When feminism should be the idea that women can write their own heroes, instead of waiting for men to do it for them.
Back on topic : Rogue has been a favourite of mine for years. Though I wasn't a big fan of how she was portrayed in the movies. I liked her better in the cartoons and comic books.
Favorite MMO heroines? I admit, I have a soft spot for Kirsten Geary (The Secret World, Illuminati). Complete and total bitch, and she owns it. An inspiration for us all!
Honorable mentions include Zoija from Guild Wars 2, and Sylvanas Windrunner from World of Warcraft.
Outside of MMORPG-space, I would go agree with the previously mentioned entries of Rogue from X-Men, Samus Aran from Metroid (though I'm tempted to remove her from what I've heard about Other M), and the new Lara Croft.

Hi there fellow KG fan
She's my favourite character of the game since the second beta (when we could first try the Loomies). Greatly written, with an awesome voice to back up the character, kudos to Ms. Wahlgren.

Yeah, definitely, Eir and Jora.
What is not to love about 8 and half foot tall great looking warrior women.
All die, so die well.
