    What's really retarded about the preponderance of these kinds of posts and polls is that the OP rarely makes any overture as to what the point of the question is. I certainly understand when people ask "I'm having a hard time deciding which game to play, which do you all think is better." Therein lies a plea for help.

    I enjoy star wars galaxies, especially now that the combat upgrade is out and there is actually half a challenge involved in pvping with my swordsman.

     

    (sounds funny that a swordsman is in a sci fi game, i know, hehe.  every mmo needs it's share of melee though, now doesnt it?image)

    Im suprised guildwars beat EQ 1 and 2. Eq1 was my 1st mmorpg and i still think its the best image  good thing thought because im definatly starting guildwars this weekend.

    yes, its much better.

    id be the first to say that it does have its problems though, mainly bugs and small inbalances.  they implemented a level system INTO the skill system.  so you know the various skill boxes for professions?  when you get one of those it increases your overall level. 

    melee was dominating pvp for about a year prior to this, but now things are back in line.  lots more ranged now.  melee, inorder to succeed, have to play smart and use the environment.  ive played as a swordsman since launch and am happy with this nerf.  i have to use my brains and skill now:)

    jedi are still mucking things up though.  they seriously need to give jedi their own factions, and not let them pvp vs normal characters.  not to say i cant beat jedi, its just that 95% of the reg profession pvprs cant beat jedi.

    all in all professions are fairly balanced now!  one more thing i should probly add- you can now use all melee moves in your template with one melee weapon, same goes for ranged.  so say if im a tkm/swordsman, i can use tkm specials while holding a sword, and swordsman specials while unarmed or with vk.  this leads to tons of diversity.

    p.s. tons of new armor and weapons, and new expansion is awesome.

    Star Wars Galaxies was an awesome game for the first couple months after launch. Then it slowly started to fall, until the first jedi was unlocked. After that it started going down hill again, and they tryed to fix it with the Combat upgrade, but that didn't really do much.

    At the moment, I feel World of Warcraft is a pretty good solid game, but it too will fall aprat like Star Wars did. The customer service sucks and there aren't enough content patches. The devs said there would be one every month... but now after the game has been out a couple months, there has only been one content patch, and it blew.
