Has anyone gotten the email yet?
And what is the first thing you plan to build? I figure we can get a nice little discussion going about our plans.
The First thing I plan to build is nice little "Witches" cottage near some forest. I also plan to make a dungeon in the area based on some old D&D adventures I wrote when I was younger

SOE trainwreck as usual.
If they put half the time into preparing for a launch as they do sitting there at their launch party patting each other on the back and telling each other how awesome they are over and over for three hours.
MAYBE we would have been in game by now.
You know who was at the party and who was inside working on Landmark?
They've been tweeting from work deep into the PM for days now.
People seem to think they just need 2 flip a switch and bam everything works perfectly, unfortuently it doesnt work that way.
If it was just an alpha I would agree with you.
But when it's an alpha that some paid upwards of $100 to get into...
Upwards of?
No.
Less than?
Yes.
Lets not start making things up please. Also its Alpha and its a month ahead of the original promised date.
LMAO
So it's not actually an Alpha, but an "Special Alpha" because huge crowds of people were willing to PAY to be a part of it ?
Hoooboy...
What's next ? "I demand a refund because this alpha is too buggy and it's unplayable in my opinion" ?
You can if you want to:

Yes, some people payed $100 for software that IN ITS ALPHA NATURE is buggy and unstable.
Dont plame SOE. Blame people who cant read what it says right there on the box, or fail to understand the concept of alpha.
I would never PAY to play an alpha. They would have to pay ME to find their bugs.
No you did not pay $100 to get into the beta. You got a lot of additional stuff for it as well. It's like saying you car's steering wheel should not be seen as a regular steering wheel because you payed $20.000 for it. I always see the alpha/beta access to these packs as an added bonus. I however pay for the other stuff in it and decide the worth of such a pack based on those items. That are the items I will have when the game get's release and beta/alpha is just a memory by then.
Their site was down for maintenance earlier, but I broke down and bought it for me and the wife, was bored, and it isn't gonna kill me. I usually am against stuff like this, but the wife wanted to do it. I got my email very quick and download is zooming along, and about done.
So yes, they are sending out invites. I am more interested in EQN atm (even though I am skeptical of it being too casual), but I could see EQN:L actually being bigger then EQN once all the tools are put into place and some time goes by.
