Something that made me nervious is that the game (I assume I don't have it) has very little online support for such things as hacking and fixing bugs.
I really want to get this game but if it's going to be something like Diablo 2 I don't want it. I was just wondering if there were any type of hacking or exploits in the game that would make it less fun for me (since I don't like any of that stuff).
Thanx

havent seen any hacks yet, and to be honest I searched around the internet to see if any hacks were up on sites (for personal knowledge) and havent seen any as of yet, but tis a new game, who knows.
The streaming tech the game is build on would make it very difficult for hackers to accomplish much. Also, you should know that the devs actually play the game (they have a guild called NERF). They are VERY much involved with the community and any "situations" that may arrise.

We are talking here about technologies which have years of difference and we are talking about games which have totally different targets: Diabolo 2 is originally a 1st person game with networking facilities. GW is designed for multi user environment.
You got some technologies here like streaming, load sharing and dedicated game instances and your details are kept in the servers.
Everything is possible with backwards engineering, but just a comparison vs WOW: there are already private/hacked WOW sandboxes/server emulators and databases out there; thus there is a way to "hook" to the communication with your game and WOW servers. I miss the similar attempts internet: none upto now (perhaps it is due to the fact that people came to respect ArenaNet due to their price and beta test policies).
If Arenanet and NCSoft have any brains (and I'm convinced they do) they will keep track of abuses and hacks and ban people who indulge themselves in these practices. (Unlike FPS)
Well you can pretty much rule out GuildWars having server emulators.
Whats the point when you can play for free already.

Most of the Guild Wars content is serverbased (characterdata and the lot) and is thus hard to use for cheats.
Besides that, they have streaming technology.
If someone manages to hack in, they can fix the exploit and update everyone's client very easily, without the player noticing anything beyond a small loading screen of maybe 2 seconds ;
I've seen a couple posts that mention the streaming technology as a barrier to hacks. What would happen if someone found a way to divert or jack into that stream?? Imagine the havoc that could be wrought........
I'm sure Anet is aware of such possibilities...... and I do play AND enjoy the game, so I certainly am not advocating anything like that..... just another point to bring to the discussion.....
{/me rushes to jack into The Matrix, dons his bestest Neo-Wannabe garb, switches abilities to full out Hacker skillz, and goes in search of the closest Access Node to the GW servers he can find that he can get to without being jumped and smushed by some angry RED Gang.}

Question
How will Guild Wars remain cheat free?
Answer
The Guild Wars team has a lot of experience with game development, and places a very high value on keeping Guild Wars as free of cheats, hacks, and exploits as possible. The prevention of such game-damaging elements will be one of our highest priorities, and in fact has been a high priority since the company was founded. We've all seen the effects of a damaged game economy or an unbalanced tournament system. As players we've been made keenly aware that in many games, those who decline to cheat are left at a disadvantage. We don't ever want that to be the situation with Guild Wars players! We will work very hard to keep the integrity of our game fully intact, and in instances where an exploit, bug, glitch, or cheat becomes known to us, will work diligently to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
