And for the court thing lol, double bullcrap, they can't prove a thing, for all the court knows my computer got hacked and someone checked the box, or my son did it while on my computer, now as for my personal signature this is wayyyyy different, and will hold weight in court, lol people act like we are dealing with some top secret government contract here and by talking about the project is subject to perjury, it's so funny that it blows my mind that people take this crap like it's a big deal.

This is a video game company trying to make a profit off people folks, like get a clue, and asking us to withhold info that might effect there profit is wrong and I will not do such a thing to anyone, so yes they are asking you to lie or to withhold for there own selfish movtives not yours, what I am doing will be for your sake, the players not the big corporate fat cats that love to steal from the people or lie to the people for my own selfish gain.

Another way to look at this is game Dev that supports NDA are in a sense Anti Net Neutrality and I will not in no way let that happen.

Now i find the cringy pic i posted to be even more relevant seeing your post.

And holy shit, this post of yours. They aren't gonna release the whole game with NDA still on. The only purpose of NDA is to keep the game information internal until it's in a presentable state. The internet is way too entitled and if they see a unoptimised game they will be quick to jump to the hate bandwagon. Just look at how much flak the game got from the previous beta weekends. You say you tell people that it's still in a beta but people still don't stop judging it.

Nobody is trying to steal from you. Even in ESO, the NDA is being lifted this weekend. That's 2 full months before release. You can pre-order and you are free to cancel it. There is literally nothing forcing or robbing anyone here. We don't need people like you doing us a favour, no thank you. We have the sense to understand if a game is good enough for us. What we need is people behaving themselves and maintaining their integrity. I myself don't take NDAs very seriously but one thing i will never do is leak content. And if some friends asks me, i will of course tell him like anyone would. What you shouldn't do is post full game analysis, screens or videos on full public forums.

Godamn, i can't believe i read something like this.

Lol, sorry you had to read my qq, but yeah i tested many games over the years and I was one of those pro NDA gamers but after seeing the true face of business I can't bring myself to do it anymore, I was myself burned due to lies, I am fully aware that beta means that not all of the content of the game is there and the game is far from opimal, bugs and crashes are to be expected and I will tell people that if they ask, but I will also tell them the truth if the game at it's core is worth investing time and money on.

As for leaking content well I will if I feel it needs to be leaked or if someone asks for my take on the game, the point is game Dev have the balls to ask me or anyone of us to shut our mouth no matter what just so they can get away from harsh criticism that might effect there profit margin, I say what about the people that were mislead and wasted money on a faulty product? who sticks up for them?

Also in a way I am doing the gaming comunity a favor, if more people imbrace Anti NDA this will force the game Devs to launch a product worthly of payment and time investment, pro NDA people are doing a diservice to gaming and catering only to a cooperations profits and are encouraging this behavior from other game Devs.

We already see this trend, just look at the crap games we had post WoW, not a single game can topple WoW and game Devs know this so they do the next best thing, that is to grab as much front load profit then make the switch to F2P to milk more profit off the people until the game dies, we need to force there hand, make a game worth my time or go home, don't bother making it, this will put a end to the milking and to do so we need to address this NDA crap and let people know from the door whats up.

I like the beta forum it's quite unique and mostly civilized. It's due to the achievement and response system.

Dude, NDAs are still what they used to be. They will allow publishing info 2-3 months before release which is very fair. 2-3 months are more than enough to make a judgement about the game. I don't even want them releasing info before that as there will be tons of placeholders and game will look unoptimised as hell. NDAs have nothing to do with the games that have followed WoW or how a game plays out. Most of the games take years of work and they open it to people only for QoL improvements and testing for bugs. They aren't gonna change the game completely. So, opening the NDA years before won't make sense. Only thing which can help is increasing the people playing the Beta and taking genuine feedback which Wildstar seems to be doing nicely when compared to other games. They have modified stuff like their quests system and introduced several stuff just from their Beta tester feedbacks. And the game is still in full NDA mode.

Why is the onus on the developers? If they do invite, I hope you do the right thing as according to your religion and reject it as signing an NDA is one of the conditions for participating in the beta. You know, and not being a jerk by signing an agreement you have no intention of keeping.

Checking a box is not me signing my own signature, so that logic is out the window, and the reason I am so anti NDA is because of Game Dev trying to hide the truth about a game just long enough for take advantage of peoples money, if they have good intentions then let the game speak for itself.

beta should not mean "hush, hush", it should mean, "help me improve and I welcome open feel back", and players by now know that in betas things will be buggy and should never judge a game on beta alone.

Game Dev teams are using NDA as a means to cover up as much as they can to unlease unfixed problems on the public,  I feel it is wrong, if you want me in beta I will do my part, I will help give you feed back on what I think needs to be improved and what ever bugs I may run across, but do not as me to LIE to my fellow games to help you make a profit, I am not a crook, and as one of the staff members named Grakulen told me here on this is site, "They can't afford my integrity".

But anyways thank guys I found the forums : )

In other words, you have no intention of honoring their condition of playing beta but will play it anyway and claim that the devs are the "crooks" here? There is some serious cognitive dissonance going on and a lot of plain dishonesty. If you aren't willing to abide by their terms don't play. They aren't forcing you to check that box either, wait like everyone else who didn't get an invite for the NDA to drop to make your decision.

I mean, damn dude. They can't afford your integrity because you don't have any.

This is f'n nuts OP. To be allowed into beta you have to agree to an NDA and you are liable for any breach. There are beta forums you get instructions on accessing but at last run they had restricted direct feedback to through the client tool only to deal with some BS. seriously, is your post meant to be just a troll?
