Another MMORPG where all endgame options funnel you into raiding. That said OP, why are you flame bating a forum with such a provoking tone?

    Should read up on 2.2

I understand if you want the best of the best to be crafted. I prefer a balance so that all playstyles can feel rewarded. 2.2 is striving to bring that balance. It may or may not be what you're looking for, couldn't hurt to check it out though.

I will always be watching this game out of the corner of my eye. I have a real life friend in it. But as of right now, I felt the same way as I felt playing WoW. You reach a certain point where all endgame activities begin to funnel towards raiding. I am not as into home instances as I am into building my character. Not to say I wouldn't enjoy building my home, it's just not any kind of priority for me. And with my work schedule, I'm not opposed to raiding. I like to raid, but casually and when I want to. I feel like that option is slipping away in most MMOs.

In fact, I continued my Sub up until this week even though I had stopped playing several months ago. I had thought I'd have been back by now. Plus I have no problem supporting a game that is P2P with no (allowed) RMT of any kind. But once it became clear I wasn't returning "any day now" It made little sense to continue to pay.

Although I'm not too fond of the platter you served it on (stick it to the hater platter) it's nice to know that some of you playing will find this bit of news comforting. I on the other hand, only look as far as the game launcher to get most of the news I need. But honestly, I've never been the type of person that really felt the need to seek out an excuse to justify to others why I play a given mmo (and trust me I've played some questionable ones). So as long as they are posting about fixing things, having regular events and not flashing grim news on the game's launcher, I'm good to go. Nevertheless, it's nice to know that SE is happy with ARR's current performance, I just wished they'd given some of their western IPs the same leeway.

I'm glad for those that enjoy, for me remain worst disappointment so far in gaming. ARR as original. Great deal also because I always loved FF on console.

Blizzard just put out their own financial report.

You don't see "favorable progress" on that, you see solid subscription numbers which show a 100k increase in subscribers from the previous report.  This is what I was hoping to see from this, instead they chose to hide them...for whatever reason.  They were proud of the numbers in the first report, yet seem to want to keep them hidden this time.

As of December 31, 2013, Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft remains the #1 subscription-based MMORPG, with approximately 7.8 million subscribers.³  Up from last quarter's 7.7 million.

It's actually not a bad point. They were extremely vague compared to their last report.

Sales or no sales, I play the game and I can easily list 10 things very wrong with it.

That being said, I'm extremely shocked at the population of people I see on a daily basis. This game is loaded with people, and as much as I hope it succeeds, I seriously do not get it. If this game didn't have a Final Fantasy skin wrapped on it (and there being a complete lack of games I'm interested in right now in the current day MMORPG market), I wouldn't play.

Console players..they make the magic happen.
