The results that come up have had a total of 147 hits.  Very conclusive, that.

In other news AIDS (66% positive) is more popular than aid (62% negative), and war (71% positive) is preferable to peace (44% positive). Also North Korea (68% positive) is better than justice (44% positive).

EDIT: A nuclear fallout would be 85% positive, and mass-murder 64% positive.

Monday (73% posivite) is more popular than weekend (52% positive).

Law is 69% negativive, but anarchy would be 93% positive.

    Scary isn't it?

If it's any indication, society so very broken. But I do love me some anarchy! image

You know what's fun about chaos? I do, but I won't tell.

With results like that you may as well just ask the people here what they think..../rolleyes  :)

I think that is pretty accurate actually. You would be wrong if you think the majority of people like Star Wars. There is no doubt that it is a popular series, but let me tell you. If 40% if the entire internet was to like Star Wars, that is a pretty massive number. that is very very popular still. Just because 60% of the internet has something negative to say, really doesn't make it any less popular. To be honest, I have met more people who couldn't care less about star wars and hate it, then I have met people who are fans.

Same goes with Star Trek. You have to remember .. these shows and movies ... are part of a niche. A very specific group. Remember there are over 7 billion people on this planet. If even 1% find something positive .. that is still pretty popular. After all that is still 70 million people.

Your theory would make a lot more sense if hitler, poo, war etc didn't score so high. I'm pretty sure 80%+ people on earth don't have something positive to say about him. If they do we're in big trouble.

I was comparing the two to each other though. Not the over all popularity if either ;)

lol well I don't think my theory is particularly wrong. Hitler is probably talked a lot about all over the net due to history. As for poo, *shrugs* to be honest I assume it has to do with jokes and such. When was the last time you talked about how much you hate poo on the net? lol I doubt if you ever have. Not something that usually comes up in a conversation or article on the net.

As for war, again it's a super popular subject. It's part of the worlds history. When you look up the word war, it's not showing  that people actually like the activity, it's showing that people like the subject and it's discussed a lot. Then you have to include all the video games that have to do with war and all the positive feedback from it.

In other words, you are taking it way to literal. You have to think about how these words are effected by everyday media that people watch. There are movies about war. Comics. All these things effect the ratings.

I feel like the internet is mostly shedding a negative light on ESO. I also believe a lot of this comes from the history of the game (always being single player) and people don't want to see it change from what they know. Also a few things aren't accounted for by the law like teleporting around etc which makes the RP crowd a little uneasy. Personally I believe it will be a solid game and fun to play but I will know more after this weekend :D

I dunno.  I tried "Skyrim", "The Evil Dead", "Bruce Campbell" and some others and the results were very interesting to say the least.  There's also a charts portion that gives popularity over time.  I wouldn't buy stocks because of this, but it's interesting none the less.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

They don't explain very much about what they are doing.  "Popularity" could just be people talking about the subject.  For instance, the Epic Rap Battles of History featuring Darth Vader versus Adolph Hitler.  That would make "Hitler" as a topic popular, but it doesn't mean that people like Hitler, the historical figure.  Something else to consider is that the people who really do like Hitler and very talkative, and the people who don't just don't talk about Hitler because he's not very relevant.

First of the internet does not think

And if you mean the people popultaing the world wide web

    They are all individuals

Having individuall opnions, our just proclaiming other peoples opinions without having an idea what they are talking about

And then there is people that have true insight in this game..

But those people signed an NDA, and can not talk about it..

All in all, the last few weeks it became obvious to me that most people i know will play this game, because it seems to be a well done themepark... with good stories in a rich fantasy world...

Nice tool you found there.... however, its even more speculative then following the naysayers here on the website

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

I honestly don't think positive or negative of the game,i suspect having played MANY of their other games,it will be more of the same old with internet.

I never fully enjoyed their ES games much past a few weeks,i always felt they lacked something and felt like average gaming, nothing to really excite me to keep playing.

I have a gut feeling this game will not deliver what i need to keep me entrenched and that is what i look for when playing a game.I am NOT like the majority that plays a game for a month then quits,i join a game,i play it for years which is what i have done for years with other games. If i thought ESO would keep my interest for more than 1-2 mnths ,i would play it,but i feel it won't so i doubt i will play it,unless i see some amazing videos on you tube depicting some awesome type action/reaction type combat.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
