[POLL] What race will you play as? (and in which alliance?)

I was wondering how the representation of races and alliances will look like in the game, so lets see if we can get some kind of idea here. Vote for the race you are going to play, and on the comment section say the race again and also add the alliance.

 

Personally I will go to Daggerfall Covenant but I'm not entirely sure yet if I will be an Imperial mage or Redguard melee oriented character. I'll vote Redguard for the poll though, since in all honesty I'm struggling a bit to pay for my CE preorder.

 

NOTE: The poll limit is 10 and there's 10 races so there were no room for "view results" option, please just ignore the poll if you are not going to play OR vote for the race you would play if you'd play the game and explain in the comments that you are just interested to see the results. The poll is just to get a general idea of the alliance and race size relations. Thank you.

 

1. I predict the Ebonheart Pact getting most power behind it because of the Nords and "skyrim skyrim blah blah skyrim blah blah skyrim skyrim fus roh dah skyrim blah blah" - also many people like the Dunmer because, well, dark elves are always cool! Argonians however will slightly balance this faction, no offense you lizard folks

 

2. Altmer Dominion will probably be the second biggest for all the elf lovers and furries, but I'm not totally convinced by this because there's no human race in Altmer Dominion and the human race is often well represented in mmorpgs.

 

3. The last one will be Daggerfall Covenant but only marginally smaller than Altmer Dominion. All the orc guys will go here, and also they have 2 options for human races, and like I said many people choose human in mmorpgs, though there's the nords in Ebon-P which will draw a lot of humans there. Bretons will surely be quite popular, but sadly in mmorpgs I dont see all that many black characters, Redguards are really awesome in my opinion and I hope to see a good amount of them.

I was planning to play a Breton, but after "researching" all three starting areas, I found the Altmer Dominion to be the most fun so probably an Altmer now.  

I'd rank the early alliance zones-

Altmer Dominion-  Fantastic

Daggerfall           -  Good

Ebonheart           - Terribad

14 votes and no Nords yet, hmm, suspicious? Or Imperials for that matter, I recall hearing about some big CE preorder sales, did people drop their CE's? That would be fantastic, if there were only few Imperials I'd be sure to roll one Special snowflake and all

Actually, Imperials will probably be the most played. Because everyone wants to be special. Which is ironic in and of itself, because we play cookie-cutter mmorpg's.

 

Like in that one game that is still under NDA so I can't mention it, you get some neat looking plate armor after completing a quest and you think to yourself "Oh neat, I feel unique now!" Until you load into the next area, and see 15 other people with your "unique" armor.

This might lead to some impressive Imperial formations with everyone wearing that cool looking centurion armor. How about Imperial only guild? It must feel weird as Imperial player running around Cyrodiil whacking down other Imperials who just happen to be in a different alliance...
