hi guys
im on the fence preordering eso right now.
would you mind answering two questions.
1) is there a pet class?

Alas not really. A mage can summon all sort of magic "pets". A tiny dinosaur, a ghost harpy, an imp and the like.

I never played a mage - but - if the pet doesn't de-summon when swapping between staff to melee weapon, I don't see why you couldn't play a melee focused character with a pet.
ah disappointing but thanks.
what about a straight warrior? i don't like magical abilities
Won't have the fashion sense of a gay warrior, but should be doable.

Exactly.
Some people still have their traditional MMO class thinking hats on when they look at ESO.
Anyone wearing heavy armor and using sword and board or a 2-hd weapon or dual wielding is a warrior. All that "class" does in this game is define which type of magic you can use... that's right... every class' class-specific abilities are magic based and use magika as the resource. Everyone is a magic user.
You can be a warrior with 2 pets out at once by choosing the Sorcerer summoning skills. All you need to do to keep the pets out permanently when you swap weapons is have the summoning ability for each on on both weapon skill bars.

dont really agree nightblade siphon build with light armor could be considered a mage
and the other two classes in their dps builds in light armor will be able to use class skills more frequently, since all can use the staffs for range damage anyone can be a mage.
but i dont know the range on templar and dragonknight abilitys so they may not be viable
