For whatever reason - I couldn't find the original thread, so I figured I would post the response I received here in regards to whether or not Imperial Edition race, gear transformation, horse, etc would be available during the early access head start.
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team!
During the Early Access period, customers who purchased the Imperial Edition and have entered their 5-Day Early Access code will have access to the following:
From April 4th, customers who pre-ordered the physical Imperial Edition must enter their Imperial Pack code in the box in order to retain these items and to unlock the full Imperial Pack contents

This has nothing to do with my thread or the original one I can't find. It was simply to inform those that are planning to preorder the imperial edition, that the content will be available for early access.
Imps get 12% health increase...Orcs get +6% AND +15% in-combat Health Regen. rate. I'll take the Orc over the Imp for tanking any day of the week.
As a matter of fact, the only alliance that actually could benefit from the Imperials is the Aldmeri Dominion because they don't have anyone with tanking racials...but then again, they can also have pet Orcs if those Orcs pre-order.

If you preorder Imperial Edition, you will get all that is listed when you go play during Early Access
Horsey, rings, crab, other pet, etc.

Isn't your health regen dependent on your health pool?

Nope. Different stat with different soft cap. But putting one of your 49 points into health will also increase your health regen. Maybe that's what you meant.
Matter of fact the only benefit the Imperials will have in Health pool is that they'll be up against the health soft cap faster.

I forgot about that soft cap. Good to know about the health regen I thought it was always dependent on HP like other games. We would know if Imperials really are OP in terms of tanking capability after they both hit level 50.

Aye, you're absolutely right. True, Imperials get more health/stam bonus as well as a lifesteal, but that in-combat health regen and sprint boost is beast. Fortunately, for me, It's too close for me to really regret wanting to play Imperial though, as I typically play the Human race in MMORPGs anyway. If it were of any significance (especially come end-game), I would probably toss aesthetics aside and just go Orc.
Not really, since there are soft caps on the three major stats and people say just about any race gets on gear alone. I think the unique effect racial are probably stronger (Swift, maybe red diamon, adrenaline surge, maybe stealth or crit bonus on Khajiit)
Isn't that nice?
The P2W factor comes into play. Makes peps want to buy the collectors version eh? I mean +12 health increase plus combat bonuses and various bonuses .. derp derp .. yeah the collector edition is nice.
[sucks for everyone else?]
I like the old days, when a collector edition came with a physical trinket to hold .... or a keychain .. or a cloth map. Collector rewards being all in game these days is quite lame.
I guess I'm old? Even the basic boxes for EQ + expansions had something inside .. a trinket usually. Nowadays it's a "virtual" trinket, which has a value of exactly "$0" .. .. /snore to modern CE's, they really suck.

I agree. Look for the unique or unusual stuff like the Dunner's + fire damage.
It's no accident that those unique racials are at the bottom of the passive lists and unlock later in the game. That last passive unlocks the first rank at level 25 and you can only add the third rank at 50.
By comparison the first racial passive on the list that isn't free, unlocks at level 5 and you can max it by level 30.
Here's a good article about Racial passives by someone who has been in the full-time PTS beta and leveled several characters to 50: http://tamrielfoundry.com/2014/02/racial-comparison/comment-page-16/

I do. Whether or not you comprehend what was said by my post remains to be seen.
It was pretty clear, from my standpoint.
[you may wish to read into the details before defending] - expose those details instead of trying to hide them?
If you feel like a +12 health regen from folks who bought the CE is allowable, then by all means, express yourself. DEFEND AWAY! It's going to need a huge amoung of defense anyways, so may as well start now.

Yes he said pay to win. And the whole point of my reply, which you seem to have missed, is that there is no "win" with the imperials.... they're just another race that happens to also not be really best at anything.

Seems P2W to me ???
One of the best buffs in my past MMORPG's is regen. It makes my day 3 or 4 times more productive. How is regen not P2W?

OK .. whatever. .. it's you who started the comments, not me.
If you wish to end it here, thats fine. But I think the +12 health regen for the bought CE race is considered P2W.

Yes. I was using it last beta on my Bosmer. Although it wasn't free last weekend: those of us who had pre-ordered the digital CE could just buy it for 100G at stables.

Considered by you or consumers as a whole? because if you want to speak on behalf of all the gamers then i would like to stop you right here.

Simply informing that health regen at 12% did not seem to be present, and compared some of the other races, seems fine.
That list is not right. Go here for the real one: http://esohead.com/races/10-imperial
For all the races, the last passive on the list, which unlocks later in the game, is the only real unique and relatively powerful one. For the imperials it's Red Diamond, the life leech.
