This new patch may just be the thing to bring me back.

I've been following RoS progress for a while... and for a time I was excited.  Then Blizzard announced they'd be removing classic difficulties and implementing a monster scaling that matched Oblivion / Sacred 2--A formula that's been **proven** time and again to be what consumers hate.  Yet they do it anyway.  It's almost like they think they're exceptions to the rule, or else they really are trying to make the game as terrible as possible.

Sorry, but I don't know if I can take any more of their BS.

Blizzard doesn't listen unless it hits them in the pocketbook, and sometimes not even then (Cata was a perfect example of dev design colliding with player preferences today -- devs can lead 100000001 horses to water, but they can't force them to drink it). They will remain firm on their design formula, and stubbornly stick to it making every excuse known, but will demand that the players adapt to their game designs.

One thing to never give Blizzard: control of the design itself. Did that with WoW and they took off with it and nearly destroyed the game in Cata (and folks seen what happened wth Diablo III). Then act surprised because all that knowledge they claimed to have didn't match reality.

I think DiabloIII on PS4 will really give Blizzard a reason to focus onto console gaming from here on in. DIII is perfect for PS4 and Blizz know this and we are looking for a killer release hopefully by summer if at all possible please.

I don't think they're going to deliver. If you read the dev posts/blogs on their development process, they  seem just as clueless. They still really need to completely gut those awful mechanics the first team developed and start from scratch. I know they've revamped a fair amount of it, but what they've left behind is still holding the game back tremendously.

This absolutely 100% should have launched with the original Diablo 3 game. It was present in Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 for crying out loud. (This seems a bit better than Diablo 2's B.Net chat rooms/clans though, but not much...)

I think Diablo 3 is dead. I'll be enjoying TESO.. sad, because I waited so many years for Diablo 3, and still enjoy D2 to this day. Oh well, cycle of life.

    Have they?

They let the D2 economy go to hell.  They ditched Blizzard North and abandoned their work on D3.  They split the story modes of Starcraft 2 into 3 games.  They pulled in billions of dollars with WOW and let it stagnate.  They released D3 in a terribly disappointing state and basically abandoned everything that was great about D2.  Literally EVERYTHING.  They fixed loot in D3 but for consoles only.  It will be almost 2 years since release until the point where loot and the AH is fixed.

The Blizzard of today really isn't the Blizzard of yesteryear.  They make extremely well polished and well selling games.  But I can't give them the benefit of the doubt anymore and will have to wait and see what RoS really delivers.  I'm sure I'll buy it eventually, preferably after they allow more elite items to be traded to people that weren't in your party.  And after they incorporate a ladder.

Every time the developers discuss their design process and abandoned ideas, they strike as suffering from analysis paralysis.  I think it's part of the modern Blizzard corporate culture.  There's too many hands in the cookie jar and design by committee rules so that no one takes the blame.

I think they could fix everything by the expansion after RoS but I just don't think they will manage it.

The setup that they replaced the previous difficulties with are much better IMO.. Normal , Hard , Expert , Master and Torment 1-6 has a much better feel to it IMO.
