How do you apply an enchantment

Maybe it was stupidly obvious to everyone else, but I never figured out how to actually USE the enchantments that I'd make. I'd combine the three runes and get some output, but couldn't apply it to anything.

I double-clicked the enchantment, and... no change in my cursor to indicate that I should select something. Right-click? still nope. Drag and drop? Nope.

I tried selecting something likely - a fire enchantment on a fire destructive staff? double-click, nothing. right-click, nothing.

So... what gives? What am I missing?

/I asked once before on here, and someone said "you use it on the item to enchant".. uh, yeah, ok.. but again, I can't figure out how to use it...

I believe you just right click the actual item you wanted to enchant, and there's an enchant option there and it will give you a list of possible enchantments you have on you to apply to that piece of gear.

I went through the same process OP did. I now hang my head in shame that I didn't think to right click the item itself.
