reddit?

So I was playing this game.  And their reddit forum is more active than their official forum.  Which I never seemed to understand.

Untill I get a warning from the official forum.  It seemed some people are using reddit to avoid censorship.

I'm wondering if the game I'm playing is the exception.  Do people regularly use reddit for all the games too?

People regularly use reddit for everything.  It's just better than any forums you've been on.

Just to question the philosophy. Army of Socrates.

Probably also to get around the consequences of using the official forums, as well -- comments linked to accounts.

But they'll ban there, and Twitter, just the same especially the top heavy publishers.

    Good to know.

I don't think my posts are offensive.  But my guess is my posts might turn off some potential new players interested in buying the game.  Which I can understand seeing how the general forum are for many game forum.

It's not that if your posts are offensive per se, it's that it doesn't jive with the "message" that's being promoted. This is especially true when launching a new feature, and the hype club is thrilled (or claims to be), but the player base isn't -- then it gets really nasty.

The other "politics" is if special interests have locked content down, and they jealously guard it (just like they do on forums). I call them "dinosaurs".

Rock any of those boats (say *try* to be a neutral) and it becomes the bait/report tomfoolery as the interests can't "trust" you.
