I don't mean to derail the previous discussion on this topic, however this needs to be discussed in more detail regarding PvP.
Collision detection needs to have a counter to balance it out in large scale PvP. Otherwise it leaves the door open to griefing and exploitation which we have seen in the past.
It can be argued that it is essential in PvE, but that isn't the case in PvP. Not on this scale, IMO. Yes, it can be argued it is simply an added tactic, but a tactic that can quickly overwhelm the balance without some counter balance.

We only know that it is currently only implemented in PvE and they said surely not in PvP because it will take too much ressource.
