I would like to see it myself first before i would call something a improvement :P.
Hmm so they are going to / already have written a load of new quests for people that don't want to do the starter zones.
i am skeptical about how this will be implemented at what is now short notice.
it is my concern that it will be a lot faster to level by skipping the starting areas if they have just thrown in mobs or quests hastily designed because simple quests and mobs to grind is a lot easier than trying to design good quality questing.
Honestly, this game needs so much work they should be able to wallpaper the Great wall of China with the length of the patch notes. It's good they are working on the "heaviness" of the combat but i'm skeptical till I see it. In the meantime i'll continue to tell everyone I know to stay away from this turd that won't come off ur butt.

Why not just tell em to try it for themselves before buying it ? Cause you know, some people have different taste.
They added audio allarms for using the F key with nothing targeted... (i really hop i can disable this)
They lowered the level of the mobs around the starter towns from 6 to 3...
--> still dont know if i really like that they removed the starter islands...it would have been enough for most people if they just could have passed these islands withouth the need of finishing the main questline... I played 2 of them and didn´t really dislike them, they where just fun areas to give people a directiona nd slowly adapt to the game, i am kinda woried that many new people will feel totally lost when they arive at the big town that early wihouth a tutorial ...
I know, i am nitpicking, which is a good sign...
No news on the number of players assigned to instances or phases..
No new about an option to chose to do a solo content instance solo
No news about cooperative group content (sharing quest goals in a party) or an option to enter a solo quest instance as a group and content scaling slightly upward..
Those are my biggest complaints with the latest build....
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
I sure hope the team aren't rushing-in too many significant changes all at once in an effort to counter the "negativity" from the early press previews and stress-test weekends.
These sweeping changes are starting to sound like an overreaction...
I could tell my friends to try it for themselves as well. But generally speaking we enjoy playing the same kinds of games...we don't usuall have just 1 or 2 friends join an mmo...either we all do...or we all play something else. No biggie though, I honestly don't have anything against the game. I just enjoy riling up the people who are far too serious about it, either on the "hater" side or the "fanboy" side.
Also im still open to trying the game again after they make these changes. Long as I don't have to pay 59.99 to try.

You'd rather have them make less good changes? Please, let em do what they gotta do, you don't see me complaining
