Not this again

This game is getting way too overhyped to the point people who were never interested will consider buying it, despite it's cringe worthy combat system. It's like GW2 all over again except this time the mods aren't banning every single negative post.

The only thing TESO will make you want to do is play Skyrim again, lets at least get that part right.

Yeah.. I don't really agree with anything you've said. I actually cannot wait for this game to be released. I've spent a fair amount of time in the beta, and it's only gotten better. If you don't like the game, and you're not having fun, then why bother posting this? Just seems like you want to give people a negative feeling about the game. Let everyone decide for themselves.

Your opinion is not shared by everyone. A ton of the positive hype I see is from people who didn't expect much from the game, tried the beta, and got hooked. That is exactly what happened with me, too.

Many people genuinely enjoy this game, regardless of what you believe.

The OP is projecting their personal disappointment on others. It is a cry for sympathy and support.

Please remember that your feelings are your own.

    You stay sassy!

Pretty stupid arguments, especially for a video game forum. Of course my feelings are my own just like it's your right to fanatically love a game you'll be bored with in <month.

Why do people actually expect others opinions to not get expressed, here of all places?

Considering this OP has said the same things about ESO countless times, his choice of titles for the thread is unwittingly perfect.

While I too do not share his sentiments I myself never actually got hooked but I did see the potential on the last day of the last beta test.  Enough for me to give it another shot at the next one and see if the game grows on me.  What I am most impressed with is the ability of the Developers to actually change the game for the better.  Seems like every day you here something else coming out of Betaland that says their willing to mix it up and make needed changes.

I agree with the OP. That's exactly what happened to me. Deinstalled the ESO Beta and cannot get enough of Skyrim... I just hope that the Multiplayer Skyrim Mod will work one day and all my dreams will come true!

So you've already experienced the changes mentioned in this video?

I'm guessing, not. You should probably put your anti-hype aside and judge the product when it's done, because it isn't done yet. Fwiw, I was never interested in this game, largely due to comments like yours that I heard here and there ... until I actually played it. Good thing I made up my own mind.

I complain about the games cringe worthy combat and you post a video showing us exactly how cringe worthy the combat currently is...

So Collision Detection, improved combat graphics, and added weight and impact to attacks all mean nothing to you?

Well it tells me that they've being listening and that they're making some good changes. So go ahead and cringe. I'm happy with the direction they're going.

I am curious how you watched an 11 minute video in the 6 minutes between our posts though. Seems to me you don't want anyone to change your mind.

I agree with the hype....  People might buy the game withouth knowing if they will like it

i totally disagree on the combat system, its not as flashy as others, its a much more tactical game, but if you understand it, its awesome, espescially in group content and PvP..

And mods never banned every single post, they only banned people that continously kept breaking the NDA..

if you would have played beyound level 7 or 8, you would have recognised the game outshines Skyrim in many ways..

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Some people do get very excited, probably a bit over the top but that's their nature. Others like myself have seen it all before. Doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to playing with some anticipation and will be there at the headstart. There may be queues, teething troubles, couple of down times, and some things not working exactly as they should - but that's pretty normal as these things go.

But what you're talking about is human nature, and we're all different. Trying to change some people's probably over the top excitement at any new game launch - you may as well pull up a second chair next to King Canute's and try to stop the incoming tide.

No worse than your "arguments". You can have your opinions, of course, but you can't tell people what they will and won't do. You telling people how they will feel about something is absurd.

But judging from the rest of your posts, you aren't actually here to make any point, you are here to rile up what you consider to be fanatical fanboys. Liking something for what it is doesn't make you a blind follower, and as you do not enjoy this game and clearly are not interested in starting a constructive conversation, I wonder why you even bother. Nothing better to do?

I'm not over hyped or anything, I just to play a good MMO and so far ESO seems to be one. Also, what was the point of this thread again?

Yes I suppose I'm just a broken record unlike the TESO fanboi stalking me with over 4x as many posts as me.

    U mad?

This one reply lost you all your credibility for a decent discussion while showing out to everyone here your level of maturity.

OP - do you always spend this much energy, time and obsession on things you don't like?  I've seen your posts in endless amounts of ESO threads and it's always the same thing - the game is terrible and you hate it.  Try spending a little more energy on things you do like - you'll likely feel a bit more peace and happiness

Elder Scrolls wasn't really my thing until I participated in the BETA. Comparing GW2 with Elder Scrolls is like comparing apples with pears. Both have similar features but then again not quite the same. I played GW2 as well but got burned out after levelling my 5th character.

I wouldn't say that the game is overhyped, personally I had low expectations on them game until I got a BETA invite and started testing. I have been testing quite some games now but in this one it seems that developers do keep feedback in mind and implement a few changes here and there. Playing the game felt nice and different even though it has aspects of most MMO's of these days have to offer... Exploration, Story and so on.

I really hope that you will be able to see the good things about Elder Scrolls Online whether its in BETA or at launch and give it a fair rating.

    Best regards,

    Dranean
