L2 carried over from the OB. I was shocked and amazed that I didn't have to redo my 10 levels or so that I had gotten. Oh that was such a fun, fun and truly painful game. Talk about grind.
As this upcoming closed beta, we get to keep our characters. Is this one step closer to us keeping our characters at launch too? What do you all know or have heard? And don't tell me all closed beta characters get wiped for every game cuz its not true hehe.

No wipe before launch. Wipe after last beta event.

Lessens the value of the 5-day head-start access they are selling.

Please name one game that kept its beta characters into launch.
And no, beta is not the same as early access.
Legend Of Mir 2
Another game that charged you during "open beta". Once it charges you, it's no longer in beta, regardless of what they try to claim. Pretty much every Korean F2P MMO out there has done this upon being localized in the US, because they know if they "officially launched" with their game in the buggy state it's in during their "open beta", people would find the quality laughable.
Age of Wushu was the same way. They claimed it was open beta, but had their entire shop/subscription service set up. Yet a bundle of quests didn't work and half the text was still being localized. Those are just money grabs. And I can't recall any of them actually having a real launch. Take Neverwinter, for instance, for which their 'launch date' was merely their first content update.
If you're paying for your mmo, it's not in beta. Likewise, if you're able to access all of the content, it's not in beta. ESO is level locked/zone locked in its betas thus far (aside from their Friends and Family test server.) Diablo 3 basically had a free trial for its beta that limited you to level 15. Those are betas.
No MMO ever has wiped since it started actually charging people subscription fees/cash shop stuff. They all, however, wiped before that (early access being game dependent, since some count it as subscription time and others don't.) There has not, thus far, been a single outlier assuming those conditions are fulfilled.
And what rulebook are you pulling these rules about, its not beta if they charge you? I didn't know that was a rule for beta. Can you please link me where you pulled this out of?

I know my opinion does not matter but if they did a wipe or not, i'm still starting with a fresh character come launch.
I swear I'll completely leave this gaming world if ESO doesn't wipe beta characters at launch. That's just how sure I am.
Ridiculous, clueless demand.
....It will be wiped.
I am curious now as to what Beta DIDN'T wipe before launch. Going to guess with 99% certainty that it is not an MMORPG.
